Was a great movie for kids, but fails to fool adults or entertain them. My children (ages 6-13) liked the many moments of action, but I know they didn't really get what the movie was about. For me it was predictable, and after a while a bit annoying. I enjoyed it, but was disappointed that I paid over $75 (after tickets & popcorn/candy) for all of us to go see it. Definately a renter!

I really enjoyed this movie. It was clever, interesting, and had lots of action, without the bad language and/or gore that a lot of movies have these days. I loved Nicholas Cage, and the character of the apprentice, as well. I would definitely see this movie again and recommend it to others who like wholesome, clean fun.

This movie is an example of a great team coming together around a great plot. I've seen many good movies over the years. This is one of the few that I'm going back to the theatre to see again! This movie is for all age groups and all levels of spiritual development. It is a great example of a persons' path through identifying with only the physical body to realizing there is more to us than just our physical bodies. If one can see through the glitz there are many good lessons about the spiritual side of life.

When I go to the movies, it's to be entertained. It's even better when my wife doesn't act bored. This one hit the spot. A really good couple of hours of action/fantasy/comedy with some critical twists and turns. It was a couple of hours of getting away from it all and coming out feeling good. Also, Anything with Monica Bellucci (The Passion and Matrix series) in it is worth watching.

Wow! Nicolas Cage can teach the Donald a thing or two!! What a great movie. I am 56 and I don't know what a previous movie goer was talking about...only good for a "rainy day" All the movies of recent that Nicolas Cage has made with Disney has been top notch. My granddaughter will love this movie. A break from the Twilight scene. It was good clean fun!! It made me laugh out loud!! With times as they are I haven't done that in a long time! I liked the movie as a whole, but the actor who played the apprentice was getting on my nerves and was a poor actor. I wish they would have chosen another actor to play his part. Disney, once again, hit it out of the park with this movie. I went to see this movie with my husband, since all my kids are grown, and we truly enjoyed ourselves. It was humorous and entertaining. I'd recommend it for a date night good flick.

I went in a group ranging in age from 10 - 50. We all enjoyed the movie, esp. my 10 year old son. He loved the car chase scenes, and my husband and I loved the Fantasia reference! I wouldn't place it in the comedy genre: there were several funny parts, but overall it definately played out as action. The characters were believeable, the plot was interesting and engaging, and we would all go see it again!

This film is completely acceptable for older children. The younger may be frightened by some of the action scenes, so caution should be used with sensitive little ones. Older children, however, will enjoy it. Unfortunately, the message of Goethe's poem about not calling upon helpers you cannot control is largely lost here. Instead Liebe über alles is the theme instead. It's nevertheless a VERY entertaining film. I'll be getting a copy for my library for when my grandchildren visit.
