While some critics (most notably Entertainment Weekly) are happy to diss Iron Man 2, our family enjoyed it immensely. We might wish for a little more character development and a little less clang and clank, but that can be rectified in Iron Man 3. Robert Downey Jr. just gets better and better as Tony Stark, and Gwyneth Paltrow as Pepper Potts is the real heart of the film. All the supporting actors are up to the challenge, especially Don Cheadle taking over the role of Col. Rhodes. MIckey Rourke = Fantastic! Rourke + Sam Rockwell = Hilariously creepy! Can't wait for No. 3!

The story line was great, the humor was fantastic. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed Iron Man 2 and we will probably go see it a second time to catch the stuff we missed the first go round.

Man, from start to finish I loved what they did with the second installment of Ironman. i was worried than Don Cheadle could not hold down the character of Rhodie. That worry was eliminated from that scene at Tony's birthday party. I can not wait for this one to hit blu-ray. I recommend seeing the movie in IMAX or digital sound to get the full feeling of the action (sound effects) and music. Many laughs and more humor than Iron Man I. My family thought the middle part of the movie was slow with parts that seemed irrelevant. A worthy successor to a great movie. It didn't take it to new heights a la Terminator 2 or Empire Strikes Back, but light years beyond Transformers 2.
Some of the sub plots got a little lost, like they were trying to pack too much in. And I would have liked to see more fight scenes and interaction between Whiplash and Iron Man. The two we had showed a lot of promise, but left me wanting more. Loved the Captain America shout out, especially considering the material that his shield is made of was a nice tie in for geeks like me.
Quite a few laughs and fantastic explosions. Definitely worth your time. Don't forget to stick around after the credits for a glimpse of what is coming up from the Marvel Universe.

Iron Man is good, but not awesome. The film is fun, picking up the pace about midway through, but has frequent "storyline stops" you could say. It actually made the film start to feel like a setup for the next sequel rather than a standalone film. Scarlett Johansson is a fabulous addition, and Mickey Rourke is spot on. The action scenes (though few), the special effects, music, and character interplay are great-I just prefer more action in summer films.

I've seen it twice already, a midnight show and Friday afternoon. Overall I thought it was an excellent follow-up to the first movie. I didn't like how Rhodey got the Warmachine armor and how it was outfitted, but Ironman and Warmachine figting side-by-side was awesome on screen. I only wish the Stark character could have been more serious about his creation but an excellent superhero movie. I hope it kicks the Dark Knights butt at the boxoffice.

This sequel really lives up to the first movie. A hero,sidekick, bad guy, spy, jerk and Pepper all contribute to its sucess. My 13 yr old grandson was seated on the edge of his seat during some of this show which says a lot. The 16 yr old granddaughter was not bored, and their mother also loved the show. A movie for all ages. When it is over, you want to cheer. Go and see it--you won't be sorry. Get tickets first as 3 shows were sold out.

There are very few, if not just a handful, of sequels that are actually better that the original movie. Well, Iron Man 2 is one of those movies. Robert Downey Jr. reprises his role as Tony Stark and does an excellent job. He seems to call on the experiences of his own personal demons to portray Tony Stark’s battles with his personal demons. It is a great and very human portrayal of a superhero. Even with Downey’s excellent acting the movie was truly made by the Mickey Rourke and his portrayal of the super villain Whiplash. It is wonderful to Rourke back acting and acting very well. Whiplash is not just some sort of thug, but a man hell bent to avenge his father’s death because of what he thinks the Stark family has done to them. This movie is well acted, fun to watch, and just a great movie.

IM2 was really great. Not perfect (what movie is?), but pretty darn awesome.
I was surprised at how funny it was, mostly coming from Sam Rockwell. RDJr. is great too, but Hammer's dialogue is just hilarious!
And, yes, the best fight scene for me was Black Widow and Favreau taking out some baddies. Both ladies looked impeccable.
I'm ready to see it again. BTW, stay for the after credits.

Admittedly it would be hard to top the Technological wonder of the first Iron Man film. I was seriously concerned that I would be let down, but it wasn't. It builds on the first movie and the story lines there. Some of the characters and actors that portrayed them were ho hum to bad, aka Gary Shandling and Sam Rockwell. Rockwell does not come off as a Billionaire industrialist, he comes off as a buffoon. Actually he reminded me of the role he did from Galaxy Quest. Mickey Rourke didn't have a lot of screen time, but did very well for what he had. Don Cheadle did a great job stepping in where Terrance Howard was previously as James Roads. There is more Nick Fury, which Sam Jackson does so well.
In the end it is a fun, action filled super hero film. Admittedly I am a comic fan, but I still walked out smiling and thoroughly enjoying the movie.

This movie was a good sequal. You see a different side of the always pleasurable, Tony Stark. You are constantly given hints of a next movie, especially at the end credits. The fight scenes seemed to be lacking time but still awsome. Overall this is a good movie.

Not surprisingly it’s a lot like the first one. So if you liked the original you’ll like this and if you didn’t you won’t.
Robert Downey Jr. is Tony Stark, there’s no one better who could have played the part. They took the characters personality and ego over the top this time.
The difference was Mickey Rourke, he made for an excellent bad guy. And, oh yeah, Scarlett Johansson wears a skin tight body suit.
You can stay for after the credits to see was IR3 will be about, as a friend or go to Youtube and fast forward.

went last night with a bunch of friends to see. Everyone was really pumped about the movie.
I think that it was a worthy succesor to the 1st film, but it didnt raise the bar any. Part of that, I suppose, could be it not having that wow factor that the 1st 1 had of seeing ironman on the big screen for the 1st time.
I wish they wouold've had more ironman/whiplash fighting. it seemed that the 2 fight scenes with Whiplash were very short. And I didnt like his costume at the end very much. An ironwhiplash? Didnt work for me.
Black Widow(shes never called that..why?) was really good when she was in her role and not the undercover girl.
Robert really captures Tony Stark and his aloofness and cockiness.
Overall a good film I think. Cant wait for the next 1 to come out..Thor!

More action, great story. Mickey was great as Whiplash. Another piece of Capt. America and don't forget to sit through the ending credits or you'll miss a hint of another Avenger.

This movie was jam packed with excitement from beginnig to end. Robert Downy, Jr. was at his best. Micki Rourke played the villian superbly. Non stop action- this is a must see!
