This was a different type of movie and it had me and my wife entranced from the start. How do you handle a death of a loved one? I appreciate how this movie makes the point and how they made the realism of what does happen to family and friends.

'Love Happens' is a bit of a downer. If you have ever lost someone you cared about, this movie will bring back the memory of the pain of loss. It's somewhat of a romance story, but seeing the way characters treated each other, I don't understand why they were interested in each other. They must enjoy conflict. Jennifer Aniston's acting was okay, but not her best. The ending was a bit uplifting, but don't see this one if you're looking for an overall happy movie.

Very good movie. Well played by all. Loved the ending. Glad we saw it and ignored the terrible title and too sweet movie poster which do not do justice to the story and in no way hint at the conflict in the movie. This movie had a lot to say and said it very well. I'm cynical enough to think the movie would have been reviewed better if the title had been edgier and not so cloying. Few critics will have the guts to rave about a movie with such a lame title. I'm now obsessed with this! All that time to plan and shoot and edit and promote a movie and they stick it with a stupid title and asinine poster. What a waste of time and talent.

I thought the movie moved along at a nice clip, tho they didn't do enough background on Aniston's character. Some of the lines she said made us think there would be an interesting back-story there, but they didn't go into it.
I didn't like how mean Eckhart was in the middle of the movie, but at least he rectified it.
Good ending, but are they going to handle the relationship long-distance? That was never determined.
Good overall movie, but lot's of questions.

Jennifer Aniston is in so many movies these days that her characters all run together and become unbelievable after awhile. She is over-exposed. Aaron Eckhart was excellent, but anyone could have played the female lead. The movie was ok, but I wish I waited to watch it on regular TV. You never bought in that they fell "in love".

My Sister and I went to see this movie, it triggered such emotion in us both, as we have lost every one of our family members except each other and my son. The story was wonderful, the romance very precious, and it is now helping us deal with emotions we had stored up for many years, that needed to be dealt with. Although painful for us, it is sort of a cleansing. Thank you to the writers, performers, and director and all the people behind the scenes as well...GREAT Movie I will buy it when it comes out on DVD.

I went to see this movie with my mom and sister expecting to see a romance. There was a romance involved. However, the movie was really about healing from the loss of a loved one. There were many set ups with predictable outcomes. But, a pretty good movie. My sister cried at several parts. I don't recall seeing the main character before. But, his deamenor makes me think he might be the next Harrison Ford. He has a mesmerizing cleft (dimple) on his chin and a really good look on film. I say 'See it." I was a little worried through part of the film when he set a parrot free in Seatle, Washington as that type of bird can't survive in that climate in the wild. However, they saved the bird. so, all is well.

I might want to point out that Aaron Eckhart was Jennifer's co-star and Martin Sheen, tackled the role of grieving father-in-law.. I agree in the fact that they were well matched for this movie.. I teared up several times during this movie.. as I was moved by the story line... This was a good movie.. I don't know if I felt any better about myself for seeing it.. Perhaps other viewers still might be dealing with Closeure issues themselves, and this movie may have been helpful for them.???

I see a lot of movies, usually two or three a week. This is one of the happiest feel good movies that has come out in a while. Martin Sheen and Jennifer Aniston are both well cast in their respective roles and there is good chemistry between them onscreen. Martin Sheen made me want to take him home with me. It's cleverly done, without being cute. The plot deals with the difficult topic of the loss of a loved one with great sensitivity. Despite the topic I left the theater feeling good about life and myself. Everyone should see this movie. It's a keeper!

I thought this was an endearing movie with a touch of quirkiness. The characters were real and believable. Although some of the topic was quite sad in parts, it's fluidity made the hour and 49 minutes go by quickly..It could easily have used about another 15 to build up to the ending even a bit more..but it was worth the wait and brilliantly done.

Thought it was going to be your typical romance movie but was even better. I liked the movie and so did the others that went. Good Girls Night Out movie. You laughed some and you cried some. Walter was one of the best characters.

Whatever happened to the movies you could go watch that didn't say "GD" and other insulting words toward the creator. I enjoyed the plot and the jest of the movie but they kept saying Je**s and G** D***. OVER AND OVER!!! That confirmed to me to not go back to the cinema. I was VERY insulted- there were several thirteen year old girls sitting near my fiance' and myself and i thought - if they were my children they would not be in here right now!!! The story was ridiculous. There were too many directorial blunders to count. Aaron Eckhart ...who told him he could act? If there was ONE more scene with J.A. wearing a scarf and playing the quirky cute girl.... and.... I have never seen so many unbelievable scenes in one movie. Personally, I loved this movie. I thought it was an incredible attempt for a drama, but it stroke hard on me when I realized it was deep, and not at all a comedy like the commercials make it seem. I knew I would enjoy it. Jen is awesome; & that Eckhart guy is SEXY. I went into the theater expecting to see an unabashedly sweet "chick flick". Imagine my surprise to find myself sitting through a movie that deals with the aftermath of the death of loved ones. Once I got the gist of the movie, I felt it was a bit too predictable, right down to the last scene, but enjoyed the attempt,. I really appreciated the wonderful acting by whomever plays Walter...I thought he really was the best part of the movie! After all, if you are going to tell the story of accepting death, he was the epitome of what most of us go through at that trying time.

....not great....but good. All of the actors do a good job and Aniston is impressive. I've never been a big Aniston fan but every time I see her I like her more....so I'm slowly becoming a big Aniston fan. The movie story line has holes in it (what doesn't these days?) but it was fun watching the interplay between the lead characters. Not your typical "date movie" as there is some heavy subject matter. The biggest negative is the two-dimensional plot lines which telegraph too much before we get to the "natural outcomes and rewards". See it in theater if possible and/or rent it if you miss the run.

Movie was somewhat predictable with many of the scenes from the trailer being the 'good' scenes. The ending seemed too "staged" and seemed to be in a rush to "wrap it up".

Boring, one or two laughs at best. Romance - ZERO. Aaron Eckert simply needed counseling. I felt like I wasted my money, sorry, even though most movies with Jennifer Aniston are great. She looked great, but didn't seem like her character belonged.

A woman who can't pick a winning relationship with a man turns out to be the ideal therapist for a guy who has lost his wife. "Love Happens" is a real tear-jerker of a romantic comedy. This is not a light-hearted movie like the ones Aniston is so good at making. This movie wants you to hurt inside before giving you the happy ending.
