I thought this was an endearing movie with a touch of quirkiness. The characters were real and believable. Although some of the topic was quite sad in parts, it's fluidity made the hour and 49 minutes go by quickly..It could easily have used about another 15 to build up to the ending even a bit more..but it was worth the wait and brilliantly done.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Wizard of Oz Hi-Def Event

Most of you have see the movie, many have read the book. But did you know that Frank L. Baum did not stop there...He wrote 14 more Oz adventures and Ruth Plumly Thompson wrote 19 and then the illustrator of Baum's books wrote some, and on and on.....Well I have read them all and will be thrilled to see this classic on the big screen. If you're a fan it is a MUST SEE.

Great Concept and Thought Provoking

I go to movies to have entertainment and so try to choose movies I feel will perform that directive. Did "Buttons" do the job?? You Bet!!
I found myself thinking about life in general, baby to old age and marveled at the fact that either way, baby to old or old to baby one travels a similar course which was evident when they "Got Caught up in the Middle" I thought the story being told from a death bed was what made it thought provoking as well as the new people coming into the house and the old ones dying. I'd see it again...oh yeah I am!!
