My GF and I really liked this one. She thought it was a little depressing, I disagreed. All movies like this (romantic comedy) have a great happy ending. It was nice to have something different. The title was a quandary. My 12 yr. old daugher and I were guessing on why the movie was called 500 Days of Summer on the way to see this movie. We had no idea it was the name of one othe the stars. The movie reminded me of european movies, which I try to watch a lot of. I also liked to watch the Sundance channel and IFC. Many of the movies that appear on these channels have more to offer than the action pact. The ending of this movie did not have the tipical happy ending, which invoked feelings of deep thought

This movie is the saviour of the 2009 movies. This movie was intoxicatingly "real." It was refreshing to see 2 normal people interacting and actually having "normal" relationship issues. The movie doesn't give audience members false hope of finding Mr/Ms Perfect. It helps you realize that everyone has some kind of flaw or insecurity, but that life does go on afterward.
The characters were endearing and both Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Zooey Deschanel do a fabulous job with helping the audience buy into the plot. I caught the 3:30 matinee and then bought a 2nd ticket for the next showing. I will own this when it comes out.

What a breath of fresh air. This movie was delightfully inventive, funny, and definitely relatable. Can you bring a guy? I think so, the whole movie is from a guy's perspective. Very enjoyable movie. What we(2 teenage daughters and I) really liked about the movie is they did not spend the whole movie trying to make people look flawless. Zooey looked like she probably would in the morning, beautiful but not perfect. The story was both funny and creative. The way they bounce back and forth between the good and the bad times. The theater was 95 percent women but honestly, this movie is for everyone. A good date movie? I don't know about that, but definitely a great movie that is a breath of fresh air from all the movies lately that try way too hard.

A very enjoyable film, creatively shot and well-acted, with a definite 'Indie' feel to it. The flow of the film is a bit disjointed at times, but not to the point of being distracting. Thankfully, it is not at all a predictable story. I found it refreshing to see a portrayal of a relationship in which the guy is the hopeless romantic. 500 Days will probably not knock your socks off, but neither will it disappoint.

This movie had its endearing moments but the flow was all off. I got confused at times about the stage of the relationship he was currently going through. Plus the narrator reminded me of a Pushing Daisies episode. Both main characters gave excellent performances and that alone was worth the price of admission. Also since I am female, it was interesting for me to watch a version of male neuroses when a relationship is on the skids.

The main characters were very relatable. I enjoyed zipping backwards and forwards through time in their relationship. This movie was at times cute, at other times alittle sad. I found the back and forth in time from day 21 to day 365 for instance confusing but in the end I did like the characters. My husband response at the end was "I would not want to watch him go through all that again". Great date movie.

I thought the movie was okay. Well acted and great intent but seemed to last a long time. Great comparison to reality vs. expectation. Loved the "up" parts of it. Wait for DVD.
