Extremely good....especially to see Senior Spock. The special effects were very good and up to the expectations and felt being really there. The IMAX touch added a real impact on the portrayal of the boundless universe and the huge USS enterprise.

Every single actor is great! It stuck well to Trek lore! I didn't realise how well I knew Trek history until I explained much of it to my friend, who keep asking questions about how everything connected. I can't wait till the sequel!

WOW, this Star Trek Movie honors the old TV show but there is nothing old about this New and Exciting movie. It has Hot Rods flying off clifs, a young and old Spock, Captian Kirk cutting his teeth as he grows up and holds on to life and great battle ship fighting sceens, Spock with love in his heart and a story line that weaves together all of the classic Star Trek characters into a prequil that makes complete sense. Not since WICKED have I seen a prequil that stands on its own to feel with a solid story, great direction and good acting too! A MUST SEE!!

Star Trek totally rocked. I 43 and grew up watching the original and this new movie didn't lose a thing. This installment will be a generational bridge. My kids loved it and could not relate to any of the original references.

Best Star Trek Movie I have ever seen!! The only thing better would have been to have a Warp Core Breach while I was watching it! Special effects added to the story and action, not distracted you from it. Casting was PERFECT!! The acting and the writing were phenomenal, I will definitely be seeing this again. However, for an IMAX theater, and the price of it, I expected more comfortable seats. Otherwise it was FANTASTIC!!!

First, the bad news: this is not the IMAX Theatre I have gone to at the Boston Museum of Science or Orlando at one of the theme parks. This is a very big screen with curled edges. Very disappointing in that respect. I think the regular Cinemagic screen would have been great, for half the price, since we really didn't get an "IMAX Experience". Now the good...Spock was a dead ringer for the original. Kirk, McCoy, Chekof, Sulu, Scotty, and Ohura were as you would anticipate as young cadets. The humor between characters was as subtle as expected and very funny. Casting in a word was fantastic. Special effects were complementary rather than dominating.

This is one great movie!! You don't have to be a Trekkie to appreciate it - but if you are you'll really enjoy the "changes" made for this movie. It's full of non-stop action so make sure you're ready to go the full time without leaving your seat - you'll miss too much if you have to take a break.

Make sure you see this film, you will not be disappointed. The movie is excellent and should very enjoyable to anyone who likes an action flick. However, I spent 2x as much that I would have at a Harkins or Regal for true 70 mm or IMAX that I usually go to, but I chose to try the new AMC IMAX theater that was 30 min. closer to my house. I now feel AMC found a way to screw people out of another $5 to see a movie on their screen. The theater was not what is expected from IMAX. The screen seemed smaller than IMAX, and proj. in DLP video. There were signs in high action scenes where you could tell you were watching a HDTV, and not 70mm film. I'll see the film again down in IMAX. I wont go anywhere near AMC theater as I felt ripped off.

I have been a fan of Star Trek for years. Up until this movie, the Wrath of Khan was my favorite. But my new favorite is absolutely, without a doubt this new Star Trek. JJ Abrams did an outstanding job with this film. The story line was good, the actors really got into the roles (Bones and Scotty were right on the money) and the SGI was frantastic. This is definitely a must see for fans and non-fans alike.

I have been a Star Trek fan since almost the beginning & eagerly awaited this movie. I've seen it twice in IMAX & it was awesome! Changes to history we know enabled many new possibilities for Star Trek’s future. If more Star Trek movies are made with this cast, and I sure hope there are, the writers won't have to worry about the past. The new actors were able to bring in mannerisms of the original actors without being duplicates. I accept these stars as younger versions of the characters I've loved for so long. The movie brought everyone together very well, with unexpected twists. There's room to go forward and keep Gene Roddenberry's dream alive for many, many years to come. May the new cast and Star Trek "LIVE LONG AND PROSPER" forever!

I have been a Star Trek fan since I was 9 or 10 years old, dreaming of being James T. Kirk I enjoyed the movie becuse it didn't rely on all CGI to woo it's audience, although it was impressive. There were clever bits of humor scattered in dramatic scenes where you wouldn't expect it, but it put a humanity on the charaters. Most people will focus on the leads like Christopher Pine or Zachary Quinto(rightly so), but I think Karl Urban as Bones McCoy could have easily stolen every scene he was in, he was a great casting pick. While leaving the IMAX, my kids ,ages 14 and 11 asked a question that brought a smile to my face, "Do you think they'll make more of these, it was awsome!". Misson accomplished

I loved it! If you go expecting the screen to be massive ..like lets say the Museum of Science and Industry here in Tampa has a wrap around screen you might be disappointed. The screen I saw it on was larger , wider and taller than normal movie screens...the sound was alittle better and the picture sharper. The movie had great special effects and it was funny in many parts. The best time at the movies in a long time and I'm not even a "Trekie."

Having seen al Star Trek movies and TV episodes, I can say this is one of the best ones I have seen. A Star Trek movie that can be said to be better than Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. The story ties well with the past story lines, intelligently creating its own for future ST movies. The new cast is fresh and very good. Lost of action and great battle scenes. Leonard Nimoy is the cherry on top.

I thought this was great. I didn't really follow Star Trek when it first came out, but have seen most of the shows (to the original series only) and all the movies.
When I first saw a trailer of this almost a year ago, my first thought was "this movie is going to make a lot of money!" I think it will! Good story line, many surprises, and the lines from the original series all came at good times resulting in a wondeful way of combining this movie with the original series. I don't watch much TV so I hadn't seen either of the two young actors before, but the actor that played Spock was great.
I plan to see it again.

It shows imagination and vision of JJ Abrams. Although I was not a fan of Star trek (actually I've never watched it!!!!), I was really enjoyed it. It's so amazed and thrilled.
