I have been a Star Trek fan since almost the beginning & eagerly awaited this movie. I've seen it twice in IMAX & it was awesome! Changes to history we know enabled many new possibilities for Star Trek’s future. If more Star Trek movies are made with this cast, and I sure hope there are, the writers won't have to worry about the past. The new actors were able to bring in mannerisms of the original actors without being duplicates. I accept these stars as younger versions of the characters I've loved for so long. The movie brought everyone together very well, with unexpected twists. There's room to go forward and keep Gene Roddenberry's dream alive for many, many years to come. May the new cast and Star Trek "LIVE LONG AND PROSPER" forever!
