Entertaining at best

Having seen the original Clash of the Titans at the theater some twenty odd years ago, I was disappointed with this version. Of course, the CGI effects make all creatures look realistic, but it's the story that makes a movie. This latest version follows the original in a loose fashion. But there are pieces missing in the story, like if you were supposed to know what was to happen, because you saw the original. And on top of that, they throw Bubo in a trunk!
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Pretty good, but not up there with the best

Great visual effects. We were able to see it in 3D. This effect is very good giving a very great sense of depth to all. This story's been used before (Dune comes to mind) and tends to get a little slow in the middle.
If don't care about 3D, wait till it gets to Netflix.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Best ST movie since ST II

Having seen al Star Trek movies and TV episodes, I can say this is one of the best ones I have seen. A Star Trek movie that can be said to be better than Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. The story ties well with the past story lines, intelligently creating its own for future ST movies. The new cast is fresh and very good. Lost of action and great battle scenes. Leonard Nimoy is the cherry on top.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
