Very Entertaining

I am not a fan of comics. I like the TV shows and movies. I thought this movie was very entertaining. I enjoyed the relationship between sabretooth and wolverine and the explanation of his origin. Tried to look up info on sabretooth when I got home and it seems like the comics had him going in several different directions at different times. Not familiar with some of the characters, so I was able to enjoy them without worrying about how they fit the comics storyline. I hope we see more of these origins films in the future. See it in the theater if the money is not an issue. If it is, then it would be a good rental.

Enjoyable both for kids and adults

Both my 12 yr old son and I felt this was the best X-Men movie yet. We both enjoyed the action and the fighting scenes. I enjoyed the love interest portion and now believe that Hugh Jackman is a great leading ladies man. My son asked me as soon as we entered the car if I thought they were going to make more movies like that one with Wolverine as the main character. I told him that I hope they do.

I'm a comic book, sci-fi, anime geek and I loved this movie. Don't go into it expecting it to match whatever X-Men comics you've read, don't go in with an attitude of picking apart every flaw. Go and enjoy it as a great story and a fun movie. Hugh Jackman gives a wonderful performance his best portrayal of Logan yet! There's great action, a plot and Logan and Remy two of the best X-Men characters ever! Oh and partially nude Hugh Jackman rowr!

X-Men Origins - Good Flick

Overall the movie was quite good. It filled in a lot of detail about Wolverine's past. Really liked the war/history timeline and his struggle with good vs. evil in himself and Victor.

Liked that the movie ended with me wanting to see more and hoping that there will be another fill in more gaps.

Wolverine lost

The movie tried to fill you in on the origin of Wolverine but at times it loses you. So since his brother stated they will always be together, is another movie coming with him in it before he got to X-men? The graphics were a little too much for my daughter but otherwise it was okay not like the first two though/

Great Action Adventure

I was interested because I read Wolverine and X-Men comics growing up. There were many things in the movie that I did see realized from the comics. It was fast paced like watching a music video at times. It seemed like they had a lot of ground to cover in this one and had to rush through some of the story to get to the action. Which wasn't too terrible. Casual movie goers probably won't like it but fans of the franchise and of Wolverine should be pleased. Remember this is a Wolverine Origin story not a Gambit movie so know that he isn't the main source material. Silly cartoon fans complained about Gambit's lack of screen time. I thought it was just enough and that they handled him well. And that Wolverine was well played by Jackman again.

Was nice that the the movie covered things about Wolverine that would have been helpful to know long before this movie came out. Lots of action and special effects. If you are a Marvel fan, X-Men fan or just love Wolverine then you wont' be disappointed. The violence is pretty much so you might think twice about taking those under 13.

I had really high expectations from this movie, so I guess I was a little disappointed. The beginning was very slow and end was abrupt. Ryan Reynolds was wasted, his role could have had a little more substance (and more comedy perhaps?) The usual tongue in cheek humor one has come to expect from Wolverine was glaringly missing. While the movie does fill in some of the background story for his character, it doesn't make you like him anymore than you already do! Action and effects are good, but overall just not the greatest X Men movie!

the movie was o-kay.. It wasn't as good as I thought it would have been like all other marvel movies have been lately. and also the x-men trilogy movies. It had its moments where it could have been a lot better and parts of the movies that it could have possibly done without. It did have really nice and beautiful scenery shots.
over all a good movie but not one I really think i'd run out and go buy as soon as it came out on dvd

Very disappointing

This movie had so much potential, but fell far short of expectations. After the other X-Men movies, this just didn't reach the level of storyline, character development, action scenes, and general hype that one might expect. Jackman's performance was a second to Liev Schreiber, who was probably the best part of the entire movie. Don't know if this was 100% faithful to the comic book origins of Wolverine either, but I am guessing it wasn't. I can see what they tried to do with the storyline but the execution was so poor, especially the part with the super-mutant that it felt rushed and cheap. Not a movie Jackman should have done, and definitely not worth watching (at the theater) unless it's on TV and you have not much else going on.

After reading some of the bad reviews I thought I was going to go see a terrible movie. Boy was I wrong this movie was unbelieveable I would go see it again in theaters, that is how good it was. The story line was great and the ending left you wanting more. I would tell anyone to go see this movie because you would not be disappointed.

Overall.. The movie was good. I dont like the fact that they didnt stick with the original Wolverine comic story. The CG in this movie was not to todays par. There were scenes when u could totally tell that it was fake. ie: when wolverine is in the bathroom and this claws extend u can see the movement of the fake claws upon his hand. In one scene in the forest u can see a fog machine shooting out fog. LOL!

It was a good fun movie and would recommend to everyone who is a Wolverine fan.

I have to say, I was a little disappointed. It didn't live up to the first 2 X-Men movies by far. The effects were not that great...you could easily tell when they used green screen and the claws looked plastic at times. It also feels like they tried to force too many characters in, and they didn't have enough time to devote the character development for them. I would wait for the DVD.

So I want to start out by saying that they did a great job casting all the characters. I hated Sabre Tooth in the X-men movies but I thought that he stole the show here. I am a big fan of Gambit and was not disappointed. With that said I thought the over all story line was some what weak. As a comic fan I may have had some pre conceived notions and you may be a little disappointed if you do too. Over all it was a fun and entertaining movie with great action and very few seens that where over the top.

Worth waiting in a 2 hour line just to get in?...

YES! I was very pleased with the movie. It expected to see a little more action though. I took me about 30 minutes to actually get "into" the plot. When Logan gets his new claws, be prepared to be disappointed with the visual affects for about 20 minutes. They seem to visually get smoother and more realistic as the movie goes on. With the different alternate endings being played in theatres around the world, I am excited to see what other people write about what they saw... oh and also ... very important. . . stay till after the ending credits... there's a surprise! Enjoy!

Suspenseful and witty

Saw this one on a date with my husband--we both enjoy comic book adaptations generally. This movie was full of suspenseful fight scenes that didn't trip my "gore-o-meter" into overdrive, and the romance, while short-lived, was nicely developed. The dialogue was often witty, although there were many times I wished the writers would have included a few seconds more exposition to flesh out why the characters were motivated in the ways they were. Overall, I felt it was a very enjoyable movie with effects that make the big-screen ticket price worthwhile.

As with all Hollywood adaptations, this movie doesn't adhere strictly to the comic book story lines, but the important stuff is in there. It's full of action, a little comedy, and even a little romance. Jackman is the perfect Wolverine and this storyline ties in well with the other XMen movies. I would have liked to see a few more mutants favorites. Gambit was great and Deadpool was a bad-a**, even if his storyline was way off. Sabre-tooth/ Victor Creed's story was way more in depth than the other XMen movies, which made him much more watchable than the wrestler in the other movies.

I went with my 11-year old son, although I have enjoyed the other movies in the series, too. While there were a few moments that were too much for my suspension of disbelief, it is overall a really good movie. Hugh Jackman and Liev Schreiber are so good together, and (of course) the effects are amazing. There's a twist or two you won't see coming, too.

Wow, 30 years of Wolverine comic books and this is the best story they could come up with? It actually manages to make Wolverine seem LESS interesting of a character. If you're looking for endless scenes of Wolverine and Sabertooth running at each other while screaming, this movie is for you. And that's not even getting into the travesty they make of Deadpool and all the other great comic characters who get five seconds of screen time. Please, I beg you, at least just wait for the DVD.

Great action and a great story to answer some questions about who Wolverine is and leave room for more sub-plots to evolve.

i quite frankly can't believe there were poor reviews given to this movie. I am 45 and LOVED this movie...and my 12 year old son came out of the movie wanting to go back and see it again.

Even though they didn't keep to the real story about X-Men, this movie was actually a great explanation of the back story about Wolverine. Full of action and mind-blowing effects. Very well worth a matinee ticket price.
