This movie had so much potential, but fell far short of expectations. After the other X-Men movies, this just didn't reach the level of storyline, character development, action scenes, and general hype that one might expect. Jackman's performance was a second to Liev Schreiber, who was probably the best part of the entire movie. Don't know if this was 100% faithful to the comic book origins of Wolverine either, but I am guessing it wasn't. I can see what they tried to do with the storyline but the execution was so poor, especially the part with the super-mutant that it felt rushed and cheap. Not a movie Jackman should have done, and definitely not worth watching (at the theater) unless it's on TV and you have not much else going on.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
