Half Blood Prince wasn't as 'action packed' as some other the other Harry Potter movies, but I enjoyed the seriousness of the plot, along with the occassional comedic gestures thrown in here and there. I actually cried at the end, which I've never done during any other HP movies! The ending left me wanting more! Can't wait for the next one to be made! Lots of clapping in the theater when it was over!

For a fan of the books before the movies, the sixth Harry Potter film had a better flow from main point to main point that was more consistent with the books than previous movies. It only had two obviously fabricated plot points, but they were not completely far-fetched. I thoroughly enjoyed this movie and I will definitely see it again.

The movie was very good and had great special effects as always, but I was disappointed that they didn't put in 3 of the most crutial pieces from the book. ****Movie spoiler here**** They did not introduce the new Minister of Magic (which I was hoping to see), they skipped the scene where Dumbledore tells off Harry's aunt and uncle (I would have loved to seen that on picture) and the best part of all, the huge fighting scene at the end. They just have Dumbledore being killed and then Harry running after them. They didn't show the others fighting or Bill being badly injured by Greyback. I assumed the ending with the fighting scene would have been in the movie, but I should probably stop assuming.

This was great. A lot lighter than the past two with more humor at the expensive of awkward adolescence. It helps if you have read the book otherwise you won't understand why certain things are happening or who characters are. Nut it really doesn't matter because it a fun 2 and half hours.

I was so siked to see the Half Blood Prince. It was my favorite out of the books, but I feel like it was COMPLETLY BUTCHERED!!! I did not enjoy it once so ever. I was so disapointed. It was just a whole bunch of teenagers "snogging" and the battles were short and terrible. No funeral, not even really any outlook on 'the half blood prince' and his life. I needed more scenes of Harry being dependent on the book and I wanted to......whatever. It was just awful.

Disclaimer: I am a huge Harry Potter fan, so I would have enjoyed the movie even if it were bad! However, I thought it was very well done -- and it is fun to see all of the characters growing up, and turning into young men and women. I especially enjoyed the lighthearted moments -- goofy Luna, Ron playing Quidditch, and all the snogging and teenage angst even while the magical world collapses around Hogwarts. I would have liked to see Harry (or Daniel?) relax a bit more -- it seemed like every scene he was in, there was tremendous tension. But then, I guess he is the Chosen One, which has to be kind of stressful!

I am a fan and enjoy the characters and the trajectory of the plot that JK has them on. Half-Blood Prince at two and half hours is too long for your average cinema goer and does get a little tedious in parts. However for the Potter fan it is like a long and fulfilling visit with old friends. I should like to have seen more time spent on Snape's visit by Narcissa Malfoy eventuating in the Unbreakable Vow. That was one of the best written scenarios by JK in any of her books. So much of this movie's time is devoted to the blossoming love connections that other parts necessarily receive short shift. The cinematography is stunning and the acting is superb. A must see for Potter fans, probably won't do much for the rest.

The movie was overall pretty entertaining but not spectacular. The ads for it were pretty misleading. The ads made it seem like this movie was going to be action packed but all in all there wasn't much. It strayed from the storyline of the books too. My friends and I all agreed that it was an ok entertaining film but was also boring at part and not true enough to the books. Also, the ending was kind of anti-climactic.

1. The Acting was Superb most notably: Tom Felton showed Range (hope someone was watching) against type, Excellent. Rupert Grint Showed very good Comedic Chops. I loved this movie. I am not an avid fan, never read the books. But I have seen all the movies. I thought it well done showing the juxtapostion of the adolelescent love and the dark rising. They are just kids after all, dealing with evil. It was a little bit of a heartbreaker for me. Couldn't help wondering how much more impactful it would have been had Richard Harris lived to fulfill the role of Dumbledore. I have never been witness to a theater so stone silent at that moment. Very moving.

As an lover of the books, this movie was diappointing to me. Important information for the fianl book was left out or completely rewritten. The final, vrucial portion fo the movie was completely changed from the book and in my opinion ruined. The movie appeared to be very slow in places. This director took more liscense than the others have and I am diappointed with the outcome. The humor was done well and Draco's skulking about was done well. The rest of the movie was choppy. I am disappointed and hope someone else is at teh helm for the final movie.

The Half Blood Prince takes us down a far darker road than previous Potter movies, and Harry, Ron & Hermione are now young adults with the angst of teenagers. The movie is mostly faithful to the book, though much was sacrificed. Nonetheless, it is a thrilling chapter in the Potter series and a definite must see. Just don't expect to see people walking out of the theater smiling and laughing.

I truly enjoyed this sixth installment in the series. I am an avid reader of the books. While the movie deviates from the book in many ways, the basic storyline is well in place and sets the series up nicely for what is sure to be a fantastic final pair of movies. This movie really highlights the acting talents of Rupert Grint and Tom Felton. Both the Ron and Draco characters have a starring role in this film; Ron showing angst over his girl problems and quidditch skills and Draco showing the inner turmoil he is faced with in taking on the task given to him by the Dark Lord. The beginning is a little clunky, but picks up steam with a lot of humor, intense action scenes, and an emotional farewell to a favorite character.

I thought that this movie had a different mood than the latest movies (specifically "Prisoner of Azkaban", "Goblet of Fire", and "Order of the Phoenix"). There was more of a comedic and lighthearted element that really made the movie enjoyable to watch. The movie also did a great job at following the book. There are only a few scenes that did not come from the book and they were great additional touches. Even as a big Harry Potter fan I thought that they were not betraying the book. Overall, I believe that this movie was a great representation of the book that J.K. Rowling produced and if the improvement continues than the next movies (the two parts of "Deathly Hallows") will be the best of the entire series.

This was definitely the funniest Harry Potter movie yet. If you go from watching the 1st movie to this one, you can see how much the acting and comedic timing has improved as the actors have grown up. However, as a big fan of the books, I was disappointed how much was changed. I understand that they had to leave out a lot from the book due to timing constraints, but there was a lot of new or changed scenes. I found myself questioning my friends in the theater, "did this happen in the book" or "i don't remember this". However despite this it was really enjoyable and the special effects were amazing.

Only the most ardent Potter fans will give this film rave reviews. There were a few well-done effects, but overall, this edition lacked the sheer excitement and novelty of past efforts and was somber and poorly lit throughout. The dialogue was often too low in volume and sometimes muttered as if it didn't matter. The HP hardcores will find Half-Blood a must-see for the Hermione-Harry smooch and the fate of Dumbledore, but I found the whole thing rather SOSO (same-old-same-old) and dozed off a few minutes, unfortunately before the big kiss scene--I'll catch it on YouTube....Bosco.
