I am a fan and enjoy the characters and the trajectory of the plot that JK has them on. Half-Blood Prince at two and half hours is too long for your average cinema goer and does get a little tedious in parts. However for the Potter fan it is like a long and fulfilling visit with old friends. I should like to have seen more time spent on Snape's visit by Narcissa Malfoy eventuating in the Unbreakable Vow. That was one of the best written scenarios by JK in any of her books. So much of this movie's time is devoted to the blossoming love connections that other parts necessarily receive short shift. The cinematography is stunning and the acting is superb. A must see for Potter fans, probably won't do much for the rest.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
