Darker than the previous movies, but with moments of lightheartedness--Luna steals the show more than once--this is a solid adaptation of one of the best Potter books.
This movie reminded me why I liked the book in the first place. The later books have a lot of problems, but this one is actually a fairly cute love story between a girl and a vampire, if you can get past the whole creepy-stalker vibe with him watching her while she sleeps and such. It was well-cast and had genuinely funny moments (as well as unintentionally funny moments). I'd see it again.
