Our family (including our 12, 9, 7 years olds) all went to see this movie. Both of our older kids had read the book and both said they loved the movie just as much. I know there were "dark" places but I can think of other "kids" movies that are considered classics with dark places. I would agree not to take small children but for older kids I think it is dead on.

I absolutely LOVED this movie!!! Pierce Brosnan cant really sing but he was so perfect as Sam. Meryl Streep was awesome!!! I cannot wait for the DVD so I can experience it any time I want to!!!
