My wife and I went to see Ironman and found it to be a non-stop action adventure after the beginning to set the stage! Robert Downey Jr. IS 'Ironman'. Like many actors before him, Michael Keaton as Batman, Downey made Ironman his. We highly recommend this movie for the action adventure crowd! The special effects are invisible to the average viewer. This made the technology used, seem possible.

I knew it was going to be wonderful, but was really not prepared for such action! The three leads were amazing. I was totally engrossed for the entire 2 plus hours. A sequel? You can almost be on that!

This movie was action packed and the story kept you on the edge of your seat - We never left our seats for snacks or anything else. This is by far Robert Downey Jr's best acting job I've ever seen.

Having never been an Iron Man fan as a kid, I really didn't know where this one would go, except that it was a super-hero type movie. We'd heard it was good, and needed a break from a houseful of kids, so we went. We were really glad.
The acting is good, as you'd expect from this cast, the story was good, or at least as good as you'd expect from a comic-book based story, and the special effects were spectacular.
It's been quite awhile since I've walked out of a theater, at the end of a movie, and been really glad I'd spent the last 2 hours there, but this one was like that.
Oh, don't walk out at the beginning of the credits, like most people do. Stay all the way until the very last line of credits and you'll get a little bonus footage that is definitely worth the wait.

Great, fun movie. I am a fan of the Marvel comic book so I really enjoyed seeing the comic come to life. I liked how they modernized the story line yet kept the flavor of how Stan and the boys wanted it. Well done!

A pleasant surprise in the spate of comic hero movies we've been subjected to the last few years. Downey Jr. is great. Paltrow is great. And, the chemistry between them is so genuine that you forget their acting - which I think is the whole point. It's good to know that Hollywood can put out action entertainment that also stands up as great filmaking. There's some story here to cling to, some believable and sympathetic characters and possibly one of the strongest bit of savvy casting to come along in ages. Skip Indiana Jones and go see Iron Man with the family.

I liked this movie, but not as much as I had hoped. For some reason, I was counting on more heroics, therefore, was a little disappointed. RD Jr. was delicious. What a come back. GP was better than I thought she would be and I HATED JB. I just don't like him. I really wanted to see more victims being saved and assisted by the mighty Ironman. I know there will be a sequel...maybe it will be better.

This was the best movie I have seen in years. Robert Downey Jr delivers a superb performance as the incredibly complex and fascinating main character. Guys will wish they were him and girls will want to be with him. Speaking of females, Gweneth Paltrow delivers a terrific performance as Pepper Pots and could not have been more beautiful. The special effects were phenominal and the supporting cast including Jeff Bridges was impecable. Fantastic twists throughout kept you on the edge of your seat. I have not been this enthused by a movie since I saw the original "Star Wars" for the first time. Can't wait for the sequal....... there just has to be a sequel.

Iron Man was an action movie with a uninspired plot. The special effects do make the move worthwhile, but if you expect more, you may be disappointed. The characters/actors were ok, but certainly not of Oscar calibre.

As the first installment of the live action version, this has the best thought-out plot I've seen. It gives enough background without going over board and becoming boring. There is an equal amount of humor and sarcasm that truly makes it entertaining. Finally, the action has all the components that makes this movie, overall, thrilling. A must see again and again.

Robert Downey Jr.'s best performance too. Great supporting cast, unique current affairs tie in, to a great (realistic) fictional portrail of Iron Man. Believable special effects, great line up of Audi's and don't forget about that Rolls Royce in action. Great Action film with some humor too.

So often action movies are either so over the top they're annoying or so poorly written/acted that you don't enjoy them. "Iron Man" was the exception in every way! Robert Downey Jr. was the perfect action hero/leading man and with the exception of a weak Gwyneth Paltrow, the cast was excellent. I recommend you see it soon! Kick back and enjoy!

My teenage daughter and I saw this together, and I wasn't too excited about it. I'm glad she talked me into going though, because it was an excellent movie. I loved the story line and character development. I also thought the actors did an incredible job, especially Downey, Paltrow, Howard & Bridges. I highly recommend this movie to all.

This movie made an impact with me because of the way we were put into the miitary situation currently underway in Afghanistan. Unlike the evening news, Jon Favreau put us in the middle of the fight. I appreciated the way the audience was not treated as being idiots who cannot figure their way out of a box. We were left to wonder, allowed to dream along, and surprised at the end how things turned out. One thing that did bug me, why is it that bald men are always the bad guy?
If you like a good action movie, see this. If you don't like a good action movie, see Indiana Jones.

Go see it. You will enjoy the action and the cast performances. Only problem I had was at the end with Paltrow's untimeliness, Bridges seemed to have a teleporter, and Downey's house wasn't as intelligent as it was portrayed. Great movie...good development...more bang for your buck.

Robert Downey, Jr. does a superb job as Tony Stark in Marvel's adaptation of the beloved Iron Man comic. His wit is refreshing and helps to keep the film from taking itself too seriously. The special effects, including the suit, are mesmerizing, and Gwenyth Paltrow as Pepper Potts is a lovely choice. Good show!
