SHABBY REMAKE

This remake tried to mimic the characters and script of the 1969 'TRUE GRIT''. They tried and failed. Jeff Bridges tried to bring John Wayne's character of Rooster to life. He did a poor job mimicking Wayne's character. Unfortunately he could not fill those shoes. Same with Damon, he just could not hit it like Glenn Campbell .
If one did not see the original then the new version was an entertaining cowboy movie. They shamed themselves by trying to copy the original. They should have called it "A TRIBUTE TO TRUE GRIT"

Lot of action with good digital effects.. The most interesting and best acted character was Scarlett Johanson.
Overall it was 2 hours of enjoyable entertainment ..

This movie has a basic bible vengeful God theme. There was lots of action. Dennis Quad gave a passable performance. The whole cast gave the movie their best...... It was entertaining and fast moving action helped make it so.........

PREDICTABLE

Another action movie with a weak story line. It was entertaining. As usual, with the technology available today the visuals were as good as most big budget movies. Denzel and Oldman gave good performances. As for the rest of the cast there were some weak performances.
Not a movie I would recommend. See it on DVD.

GRAPHIC-NOT FOR CHILDREN

THIS IS A MOVIE THAT IS GRAPHIC. There are some very violent depictions of the human psyche. Some sensual sexual scenes. A very fanciful look at the machinations of influential people that are the power manipulators in the real world. Great acting and even better directing..... I did not read the novel, but the movie draws on the motivations behind the people that pull the strings of power in the real world... SCARY -Y.....

TOO REAL- SHOWS LIFE AS IT IS

This movie shows the lifestylles of blue collar, Jersey, Philly, Baltimore people as I lived it when I was there in the 1950's to 1970's. The emotional attachments to the bar, booze, drugs, and babes that pervaded the working class of the era & area. I could envision myself and past friends as if I was in a dream.

Another action packed ''Transporter''. Unbelievable car stunts and digital effects. A great mindless piece of entertainment..... Photography and locations were excellent.

What a waste of money!!! Childish story line. A lot of photographic suspense shots for nothing. The acting was unrealistic and forced. And typical SHALIMALAN movie trying to make something out of his unimaginitive mind.
A viewer rip-off. Only tolerable for one desperate to see a movie.
