This is a terrific way to spend 2 hours - who knew Meryl Streep could sing. Pierce puts 007 behind him and belts out a few notes - showing off not only his ability to sing, but also some well earned grey hairs. I truly enjoyed all the characters and cannot wait for the video to come out.
While this was a cute movie, it is competely a commercial trying to convinuce people to be less wasteful and care more about our world. Throughout the movie, man is shown as a slovenly creature too lazy to even walk. Everything is given to us or produced by another robot to keep us comfortable. Please, if I want to watch an hour long commercial, I'll stay up at night and watch an infomercial.
While this movie is action filled, the plot is hard to follow. I was able to understand because I have read the book. Without that information, the movie jumps about without making much sense.
Before you see the movie, I recommend checking out the series from your favorite library.
This movie made an impact with me because of the way we were put into the miitary situation currently underway in Afghanistan. Unlike the evening news, Jon Favreau put us in the middle of the fight. I appreciated the way the audience was not treated as being idiots who cannot figure their way out of a box. We were left to wonder, allowed to dream along, and surprised at the end how things turned out. One thing that did bug me, why is it that bald men are always the bad guy? If you like a good action movie, see this. If you don't like a good action movie, see Indiana Jones.
I was very young when this robbery occurred and knew nothing about it prior to watching this movie. I went in with an open mind and was throughly entertained. I thought the characters were fun and fully developed. Not a lot of blood and guts, just enough to make a point. if you want to be entertained, see this movie.
