it's ok as a prequel

It was OK - plenty of stuff blowing up for my son - but it didn't get you interested in what was happening - it seemed like they were just going through the motions. Even re-using some of the more famous tag lines wasn't funny. I think they have done one too many versions of this series.
I did like the prequel format - but no where near as much as Star Trek.
Good movie for DVD night, I think. Many others agree as the theater was mostly empty on Friday night!
