Iron man has to be one of the greatest movies i have ever seen. those spaces of time where you get board are non existent in this movie. the other great part about this movie is that nothing is rushed so it is a movie that is well laid out. in short you just have to go see this movie, you won't regret it.

I Really enjoyed it, but the story was the basic formulaic Ironman story... it would have been nice for them to do something interesting with it... Acting was great, effects were great... Robert Downey was a fantastic choice for Stark...

This was the best movie I've seen this year!! I had doubts about the movie, but the more trailers I saw the more excited I got. The actual movie did not let me down. Robert Downey Jr. made a perfect Tony Stark. There was great drama, graphics, and humor. The plot was terrific. I can't wait to see it again.

This is the closest adaptation of any comic book movie ever. The only difference is his origin is moved from the Viet Nam War to Afghanistan.
I will be purchasing it on DVD when it becomes available.
I watched it with my wife and two of our children. They are 15 and 12. There was no nudity or vulgar language. The kids loved it. Our 15 year old is a boy. The 12 year old is a girl.
It is a descent movie for any one of any age. It has action and adventure without the gratuitous bad scenes. All ages should enjoy this one.

I thought the story and everything was great. My friends thought they could of gotten a better actress for Pepper but I thought she did an amazing job. This has to be one of Marvel's best movies. Go see this movie!! You'll want everything in the color hot shot red after watching it lol. By the way wait until after the credits for a 40 second clip but I'm not going to spoil it :]

I hadn't heard very much about this movie or the Iron Man comics so I didn't have any expectations. Since I was looking for something interesting to do with my Saturday night, I decided to see it. I've never been a fan of Robert Downey, Jr: the drugs, the arrest, etc, but I found his performance in this movie surprisingly funny and quite impressive. It was so good, I wouldn't mind seeing it again and I don't feel that way about many movies.

My Wife & I took my family to see this 2 girls (10) & (16) .
We finally felt like we did not get taken. We as a family of 4 spend approximatley 75.00 for a 2 hour movie. and with prices the of gas & what ever, (You know the story).
The movie was action packed, and believable (if You like Superheroe movies). I would give this two thumbs up for a family outing. I hope they make a sequel quickly so as to not have the same problems as batman did (ie: 2 many different actors playing the same person)

Excellent screenplay, excellent effects, excellent performances. Jeff Bridges, in particular, was an outstanding though not surprising main villain. All around an excellent movie.

Overall, Robert Downey, Jr. made the role of tony Stark his own, instead of overacting or forcing himself into it (see Eric Bana as the Hulk or Ben Affleck as Daredevil... even the second two Spiderman movies lacked a convincing lead.) The special effects were spectacular and they set the movie up for a sequel; at the very least, we can hope to see some cameos from the Avengers and War Machine in the future. Paltrow was a bit lackluster, Bridges gave off a creepy vibe from the onset, and Terrence Howard seemed a bit soft, even effeminate for a fighter pilot. But all of these character flaws made only minor blips in an otherwise entertaining movie. Take your buddies, take a date, take a kid-- either way you'll enjoy it!

I liked this movie. It's one of the best superhero movies that has come out in the past ten years (and trust me, there have been a lot). Downey Jr. pulls off Tony Stark nicely, and the effects actually look good instead of cheesy.
The purpose of Iron Man is to entertain you. Go check it out, it's a lot of fun.
Besides, how many movies have an automatic spot for Ozzy in the soundtrack?

This was a fantastic movie! I was absolutely blown away. Robert Downey Jr. was perfect for the part! I read Iron Man when I was my son's age and to be able to watch this with him was AWESOME!!! Of course Stan's cameo got a great round of applause as well!

I watched this without any expectations because I am not an Iron Man fan. I had the toy as a kid in the mid 80s and maybe read one or two comics, if that, so I have no special bond with the character. However, this movie blew me away! This is what a superhero movie is supposed to be and this is probably one of the best superhero movies ever made. Solid story, acting, visual effects, etc... It's not just a dumb summer blockbuster but it actually has enough weight and meaning behind it to carry it beyond just being a mindless action film. Very enjoyable!

To be honest, I hate how every "new" movie is always the best this or that; so it is no mean feat when I say Iron Man is the best, to date, superhero movie. I suppose I couldn't in all honesty say the movie never dragged, but I'd dare anyone who enjoys the genre to say they could finish counting to ten before any scene overstayed its welcome (well, excepting perhaps one, but that was less drag and more a question of stomach for gruesomeness).
I wanted more lines from Stark, I wanted more time with Iron Man on screen, I wanted more of the villains, I wanted more interaction, I wanted more everything. Nothing in this movie disappointed, besides, I suppose, actually dropping the name of the big villain (and on a scale of one to ten, that's fanboy all the way).
First movie I've seen in theatres that I'm honestly considering to see a second time... in theatres. And my major concern - that they'd overuse or underuse the music - completely not an issue. This movie is masterful on all counts.

After so many disappointing comic movies that have hit the screen, I admit I was hesitant to see this. I must say this movie satisfied my comic need immensly! Finally, a group of individuals who did their homework before casting and shooting this film. A must see flick for all comic fan or not!

My husband and I took our sons because they wanted to go, but we both ended up enjoying it as well. It is definitely smarter than the average superhero movie, which I was hoping for since Robert Downey, Jr. and Terrance Howard are such smart actors. I can usually take or leave Gwenyth Paltrow, and this film hasn't changed my mind about that, but Jeff Bridges pleasantly surprised me. As a mom, I wish these movies didn't have to be so violent, but I understood the point of it more in this case, with the movie's condemnation of the military industrial complex and all. The supporting characters do a good job, and there is definitely a set up for a sequel, so I'm sure we'll all be back at the movieplex in 2010 or so for the next round.

I went to see this on a friends birthday. In other words I had no desire to see this movie, and I still loved it. I plan on going to see it again. I might even buy it when it comes out on DVD.
I loved the humor and, unlike most comic book movies where I have never read the comic, the entire plot not only made sense but it drew me in. The movie was fanstastic and I definitely suggest everyone go see it.

Robert Downey Jr. plays Tony Stark with awesome realism. I love this Movie it had just the right mix of action and comic undertones to keep you watching. I look forward to buying it when it comes out on Dvd. This could easily be the replacement for X-men and Spiderman now that they are done.

Iron man was a really good movie. Although I'm sure it would have been just as good if there wasn't a bedroom scene and if there would have been a few more action scenes. Generally "Action" movies have alot more action than this film did. The special effects are outstanding and the brief humor was funny

The movie moved through it's stages with vigor. The Action was terrific and the use of special effects was mind blowing. However, I thought it was a bit too campy for my tastes. I suppose regular comic book readers will think this is a good feature.
In any sequel, I hope that they include more daylight footage of any battle between Ironman and whatever nemesis evolves for the film.
