The movie has a lot of good action scenes, however, the only thing that held the movie together was Vin Diesel. Thats it. The story line was lacking and the ending left you hanging.... not wanting more except to leave the theater. Sorry Matt, this one needed more plot.

This movie was terrible from beginning to end. The movie jumped right in without creating a plot or building up any sort of a story line. The "plot" really didn't go anywhere throughout the movie, and ends with no closure. To top off the terrible writing and/or directing the acting was very poor aside from Michelle Yeoh. On the flip side - if you are just looking for a movie with a lot of gun fights, action and things blowing up you will definitely be entertained.

Im a sucker for a good post apocalyptic adventure tale and this was great. I totally enjoyed it. Good pace, great fx and although it would've been nice if it was a little longer(Mathieu Kassovitz is apparently outraged that they cut so much of it out) I thought it came together well. Enjoyed every minute of it! Go see it!

Well, I would have to say that if ever Vin Diesel came close to doing a "B" movie, this is it. Better suited to being released as a "Made For Television Movie", this production has somehow snuck into theaters as a first run release. If you're like me and were excited to see Vin Diesel back on the screen for another action packed film, you've probably already seen this movie and were disappointed.
The action is there, great action - but the plot and storyline were awful - even for an action movie. This movie could have been so much better - if they didn't constantly jump forward in the timeline to the point your were confused as to the extent of the relationships between the characters... what happens?! You never find out. Perhaps the writer/director left it that open intentionally, hoping that the public would be foaming at the mouth to find out what happens - but considering there were 4 people in the theater with me - I don't think it's going to happen.

I love Vin and although this movie was action packed it left me empty for a storyline. It has so many loose ends you had to keep telling yourself soon it will all come together. I felt that if 20-30 more minutes were spent tying up the loose ends of the story, it would have been an okay movie. It was like a less well done version of Children of Men (tough guy escorts vulnerable female on perilous journey). There were also multiple cloudy issues with the plot -- loose ends about vigin births and the agenda of Charlotte Rampling's character. So, a bit of a mess screenplay-wise. The worn out weariness of Russia was much more effective as a backdrop than New York "Product Placement" City. That being said, it was still basically enjoyable and at times thought provoking -- but a missed opportunity in general. My understanding is that the director is very unhappy with how the studio interfered with production and the final product.

I'll start off my saying that Vin was great in the movie and Melanie Thierry was hot, but that was the only good parts in the whole movie. The best part was the previews before the movie. I'm glad to see that a new Fast and Furious movie is coming out in 2009! At least that one should be worth seeing several times! The movie does little to explain why the major plot events are happening and at the end of the movie you are left scratching your head and asking yourself, "Is that it? It can't have just ended like that!". What a waste of 90 minutes of my life.

Love Vin Diesel but this movie was like being in a club with bad music and you had to try to enjoy it because you paid. The ending was like this? Exactly!
