Great Cinematography

I'm usually the first to catch a flick for 5 bucks at the El-Cheapo B Theater on a Tuesday afternoon, but this time I opted for a $12 Imax 3D ticket and am glad I did. Stunning picture clarity one notch above anything else I've ever seen in 3D. The Dragon looked real. I'm not even a big fan of the Harry Potter movies, but this one gets a thumbs up.

Mildly entertaining. Filled with one Hollywood cliché after another, and far too predictable. Mannix meets Vanilla Ice.

I had heard so many bad things about this movie, that I was pleasantly surprised to find it both enjoyable and interesting, It was almost like watching a romantic comedy that had the comedy element replaced with sci-fi.

Popcorn Movie

Good special effects that look like they were taken directly out of "District 9," but the story line and acting are extremely cheesy, unoriginal, and reek of made for television/direct to video/skip the theater release.
I'm one of those movie goer's that'll like a movie just for good special effects, and I didn't hate this movie because of that, but this is really just a two star movie.

Superbly detailed animation, and a unique/quirky storyline (well suited to Johnny Depp's acting style) made for an enjoyable viewing experience.

Definitely a very good movie that swallows you up in the lawlessness of the 1800's. The cinematography/production transports you back into another time and place.
