Pretty good film. A lot of slow scenes and missed opportunities. Acting was pretty flat, but the funny scenes were funny and the rest pretty predictable. But compared to most out there now, this is a nice 2 hours spent.

There were points in this movie that had me in tears with laughter. Other times it had me wondering how much longer. Great physical comedy by Kristen Wiig, some very funny lines and a couple support cast members who stand out. At 2+ hours it gets a big long and it seems the director kept trying to have both a gross out comedy (great) and a sentimental friendship movie (not so great).

The theater was full of couples and it seemed to me that the men laughed as much as the women...in fact my husband said he wouldn't mind seeing it again! Sometimes disgustingly graphic, but also very funny with a great cast and endearing characters.

There were some great laughs, but overall it wasnt very good. Melissa McCarthy from Mike and Molly kept the movie going. She was hysterical. While they had a great cast the director kept scenes in the movie that didnt advance the plot, and the movie seemed to have no flow. I haven't laughed out loud this much at a movie in a LONG time. It was constant laughing. There was parts that definitely weren't appropriate for children, like the very beginning sex scene and a couple throughout but no nudity. Laugh out loud funny, not for the kids with some of the language and subjects but spot on comedy. Kristen Wiig is very effective and Mellissa McCarthy absolutely steals every scene she is in. Everyone was comparing this to Hangover 2...About the only comparison I could find is that they tried to find very similar characters to play off each other...That, and it was freakin' hysterical!
For my 2 cents, Melissa McCarthy is the #1 reason to see this movie. She was so funny it hurts...I won't spoil the movie but for some of the things she does, you can just tell it was ALL her and no direction. I would be shocked to find out she was directed to do these things "The way" she did them.

I'm a dad and went with my 18 year old son. We were amazed at how we laughed consistently and heartily throughout the story. Predictable? Yes but some surprises. Talent? In spades. Fun evening? A hearty laugh every minute. Long? A heavier hand in the editing room would have been better, but no complaints. Jealousy between women is no new story line. And watching these gifted comedians take us to squirmy, awkward places and beyond left me guffawing loudly a number of times. Even though I could see the resolutions coming a mile away, I enjoyed the bumpy ride. Kristen Wiig is amazing as Annie, whose life is spiraling down fast. Melissa McCarthy is a genius who uses every single one of her considerable assets to inspire and shock those around her back to reality. I cried at parts because Annie's life is a lot like mine, and I loved how she recovered from her humiliation and got really brave. Lots of gross-out humor will delight the guys. I went to this movie expecting predictability, with typical sprinklings of humor. I hadn't known ahead of time that it was an Apatow production. Kristen Wiig impressed me, as did Maya Rudolph and especially Melissa McCarthy. My friend and I went last night. The theater was packed - probably more men than women and everyone was having fun. No-one was whispering, checking their incoming messages - or texting.
So well written - clever and hilarious. I am not a fan of fowl language OR skadalogical humor of any kind; in fact, I never even use the "f" word, but I never stopped laughing. Except when I was wiping a tear or two, because this movie does have heart. But my stomach was sore from laughing.
Great casting. Congratulations to everyone. I'll be back. And I predict that this one will stand the test of time.

There are some parts that are TOO hilarious. I had heard it was the female version of "HANGOVER" (and we loved that movie) but its even better because its has a good message too. Its SOOO funny. Kristen Wiig is wonderful. Go see it. You won't be disappointed.

Very funny movie. Be forewarned, however: if you're not that into profanity and a bit of gross-out humor, this will not be your movie. Every character in this flick talks like a longshoreman. For me, and for probably most viewers, that's no problem. But if that's not your thing, you might find "Bridesmaids" to be too much "working blue".

This movie certainly earns its R Rating. That being said, it is hilarious. One could loosely describe it as a female version of "The Hangover"-----the humor is similar. Kristen Wiig absolutely shines as somewhat befuddled, but loveable Annie. A must see!

I saw this movie and thought it was an average movie. Nothing stood out about this movie and although I feel this movie is not the best movie of the year, it certainly is not the least either. I would definitely recommend that people see this movie. Anyone who goes to see this movie will not be disappointed.
