A Must See

My friend and I went last night. The theater was packed - probably more men than women and everyone was having fun. No-one was whispering, checking their incoming messages - or texting.
So well written - clever and hilarious. I am not a fan of fowl language OR skadalogical humor of any kind; in fact, I never even use the "f" word, but I never stopped laughing. Except when I was wiping a tear or two, because this movie does have heart. But my stomach was sore from laughing.
Great casting. Congratulations to everyone. I'll be back. And I predict that this one will stand the test of time.
Feeling blue? This is the one for you.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

It's been a long time since I laughed so hard.

I'm disappointed by the viewers' negative comments. I have no idea what they were expecting. I have been grieving lately, and this totally took me out of myself. I thought it was both charming and funny from beginning to end. So did my friend. We had tears in our eyes from laughing. It was formulaic, but so what? I thought everyone acted well and were very into just having fun with it. Rachel McAdams is adorable and Diane Keaton is obviously having a great time. As for Harrison Ford, I thought he was fab as the curmudgeon who ends up having a heart after all. Come on guys. This is not meant to be a serious movie. It's supposed to be a ridiculous romp, and it is. I see at least one movie a week - often two. Sometimes more. I am a member of Film Forum. I love the movies. The last movie I laughed this hard watching was "Meet the Folkers." So it's been awhile. If you are on the jaded side, for heaven's sake stay away. But if you take it for what it is, don't miss it. And as for the person who had problems with the romance, I bought it. She was addicted to her work. Imagine if the character was male. Imagine if she was a he. Then what do you think? It might have been more believable for you.l In fact,
I enjoyed it so much I think I'll go again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Absolutely in the worst dialogue catagory. My friend and I are huge movie attendees. We go to everything no matter what the reviews and generally find something commendable about every movie, both mainstream and other.
We are also Norah Jones fans. Poor Norah. She didn't deserve this, nor did any of the other stars of the film. A few shots were lovely; however.....
Don't waste your money. Watch the first 5 minutes when it comes to tv - I'll bet that's as far as you get.
No, I do not recommend this movie.
