Could have been more

The aliens were a different twist, and the Russian setting was new. The actors were competent. However, I thought that more could have been done with the concept. For horror/sci-fi fans, it will be worthwhile to watch.

Well Done on a difficult 1/2 book

I feared this would be rather boring, because of dealing with a very detailed, very romantic portion of the book. However, the script was well-balanced and held my interest. Of the four films, this movie represents the best acting job given by the entire cast. Kristen Stewart was more outstanding than usual. Things ended at the logical spot. Kudos to the director and cast.

Puss in Boots

This movie is a must for anyone who likes cats. The animation wonderful and the story is enjoyable. It is just a fun movie and well worth the money. I watched it in 3D, but it would have been equally entertaining in any format.

Frightening

A well-developed plot about world-wide plague. Unfortunately, it probably accurately depicts what would happen in the event of such a disaster. After watching, you will suspcious of every cough or sniffle.

Summer fun

Probably the last of this years summer fun movies. A lot of action and good special effects. It doesn't bog you down with plot, but starts off quickly. A good vehicle for Sara Paxton to move to the next level of film.

Excellent Remake

I hoped this movie would live up to the original; it may have surpassed it. The actors seemed to enjoy their roles, the direction and filming were outstanding. The screen play more than accomplished the task of updating the first story. The bottom line is that this is a well done horror flick. "Fright Night" is a must see movie (3D would be nice, but is not essential to enjoyment) and I will definitely purchase the DVD.

Crazy, Stupid, Love

A well-woven story with plenty of surprise without the requisite fairy tale ending. In the long run, it is upbeat, well-cast and the story has its share of surprises. A great date night movie.

Fantastic action from the first scene on. Craig and Ford are great, Olivia Wilde has a role in which she is more than a pretty face. As I rember, it is faithful to the graphic novel. Better than average summer action flick.

Great Summer Fun

I wasn't too impressed with this week's new movies, but went to this one because it looked mildly interesting. I'm glad I made the choice; this movie is what a summer movie is about: action, humor, family and friendship. The young actors were superb; the sci-fi theme was not so over the top as to be unbelievable and the interaction among the middle-schoolers who are the focus of the movie will remind everyone of relationships they once experienced. The special effects are outstanding. This movie is simply great summer fun and a must own when it drops on DVD.

Great Action/Horror Flick

If I could, I would give this movie 4 and 1/2 stars. Fan's of the genre and the graphic novel will be more than satisfied. The action rarely slows down and the special effects are flawless. Bettany, Gigandet and Maggie Q are well cast and relative new comer Lily Collins does a wonderful job in her scenes. I will probably see it again and definitely buy it.
