Now I used to roll my eyes at ppl. who always said "The book was better.", but in this case I think it was.Don't get me wrong it is very good and they stayed true to the major parts of the movie.I just thought the addition of henchmen was a little much, same for the amp wars with the twins that replaced the robot fight scene. Also steven Stills was not gay at the end of the movie.So yeah, if your a fan of the book you might still like this. Just try to remember they were also trying to appeal to non-fans who wouldn't notice the changes.

Scott Pilgrim is not a slavish reproduction of the source comic, however this is a good thing. The FIlm never bogs down. In fact the slowest part of the film may be the begning where we are introcduced to the cast and players. Once we meet the first Evil Ex the movie is off like a shot.
If you love the comic that this is from see this film, there is enough the same to maike you love it and enough different to make it interesting. If you are a fan of Reto Videogames you will love the Zelda, Sonic and FF references. If you just like to rock, love, or kick ass what the heck are you waiting for GO GET TICKETS NOW!!

If you go see one movie this decade, make it Scott Pilgrim. It has it all from romance and comedy to cinematography and choreography. The special effects are impressively woven into live action, making the movie more like a live-action comic book. It is truly an impressive experience.

First off: There are a lot of similarities from the comics. If you're a purist, you might have some complaints, but, the changes made in the movie from the comics work really well.
The movie was awesome. It's full of video game references, has a good story behind it and is hilarious. The effects are pretty cool too. Definitely enjoyed and may even go see it again.

For once the tag line got it right. It really is an Epic of Epic Epicness. It's almost as if they just inflated the comic added color and made it move. It's comedy, action, and nostalgic (including mario and zelda theme songs). Micheal Cera proves that he can play someone not completely awkward but still adorable.

I seriouosly had a smile on my face for the whole film. As a fan of the comics, I came into this movie expecting a lot, and while some of my favorite scenes are not included in the movie, that doesn't detract from it at all. The movie was very well done, an almost perfect adaptation with its own take on how the story ends (it does end the same was as in the comics, they just arrive at that ending a little differently). It's also very fast paced to keep you interested the entire time. You do have to remember that its a comic book adaptation so some of the special effects are a little out there and often sound effects are written across the screen. I highly recommend this film, great music, great cast, great everything.
