Video Games and Comedy FTW

First off: There are a lot of similarities from the comics. If you're a purist, you might have some complaints, but, the changes made in the movie from the comics work really well.
The movie was awesome. It's full of video game references, has a good story behind it and is hilarious. The effects are pretty cool too. Definitely enjoyed and may even go see it again.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

This movie is a great summer action movie.
I absolutely recommend Predators to anyone looking for an action movie to see.
The trailers didn't give away anywhere near all the good parts. It was thrilling and full of the Predator kills we've seen in the other Predator movies.
Just don't go in expecting romance and a deep, profound story. It's killers hunting killers and everyone's a badass.

It's really not *that* bad

After thinking back on it, this movie is made for children. The story is a bit ham-fisted and heavy. The acting isn't that great. But, the effects are awesome. The movie looked great!
I went in with low expectations as a fan of the cartoon and was only mildly disappointed. The biggest things non-fans won't notice are that the names are pronounced weird and that a few important plot points were ignored. Those were my biggest problems with the movie.
Secondary problems were the acting. The kids just weren't very good, but maybe that's more to do with the poor script they had. Who knows!
Bottom line:
Wait for the DVD.

Hilariously Fun

I'm a fan of the RiffTrax crew, so when they decided to do a live show in theaters, I was very happy. I was definitely not disappointed and enjoyed the experience very much.
The movie itself was terrible, and it's supposed to be. The jokes from the RiffTrax guys made the event. They were funny all the way through and I can't remember any jokes I didn't laugh at.
I hope they do something like this again, it was too much fun. Especially to be in a theater full of people who laughed right along with me.

Great movie all around

This movie is, by far, my new favorite Comic Book-based movie. There's plenty of action, good character development, and a decent plot line compared to some of the other action/comic movies out there.
My only complaint is that there were several parts that could have easily been longer. They would have added to character development and others adding to the action scenes. However, the movie tops out at a bit over 2 hours, so I really can't complain.
It's a great action movie, has some comedic charm, and good acting to back all of it up.
P.S. Stay through the credits!
