Guys-Hilarious Movie-Aweful

So tyhis is a Rifftrax live. The MST3K Crew put on an awesome show with three shorts before the main feature, and I laughed out loud more times than I could count. This was reminiscent of the old MST3K, instead of a new movie getting a shalacking this is an old movie.
While the boys were in rare form I must admit the movie got old about 2/3rds of the way through. They managed to be funny and keep it going, but seriously the movie takes a nose dive and no amount of snark can keep you from finguring this out.
Course as a fan of MST3K I always found it better to watch midnight to two am since the punchiness of being tired can help get you through the horrible films.
Make no mistake Jack the Giant Killer is terrible, but with a little help from your friends you can make it through.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Scott Pilgrim is not a slavish reproduction of the source comic, however this is a good thing. The FIlm never bogs down. In fact the slowest part of the film may be the begning where we are introcduced to the cast and players. Once we meet the first Evil Ex the movie is off like a shot.
If you love the comic that this is from see this film, there is enough the same to maike you love it and enough different to make it interesting. If you are a fan of Reto Videogames you will love the Zelda, Sonic and FF references. If you just like to rock, love, or kick ass what the heck are you waiting for GO GET TICKETS NOW!!

JJ Abrams and the crew have shot a tightly paced and wonderfully fun action/adventure movie.
Is it star Trek? Yes it is. I was worried going in that I was not going to enjoy it, or they were going to change too much. But they didn't. the essence of what made the show is still in the movie. The relationships, the Ships, the space battles, the philosophy of the future. And at it's heart Star trek was a western in Space. This is the same western in space, but it's more Tombstone, and less High Noon.
in short, are you a Star Trek Fan? See it. Are you a Science Fiction Fan? See it. Are you a fan of good movies? Go see it, right now.
