Cloud Atlas is a staggering masterpiece, a positively inspired piece of filmmaking that blows the lid off cinematic convention and uses unparalleled artistry to tell a story that encompasses the whole of human experience. Exciting, exhausting and energizing, a brazen film that leaves somber cinema seeming too passive for its own good. This is a movie as big as life itself. A must see.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Matthew Fox is sick, deranged, and absolutely outstanding. Think of Alex Cross like popcorn entertainment with extra butter that you didn't ask for, but you'll appreciate in the meantime. Slick, fast-paced and mindlessly entertaining despite many contrived and awkward moments. It takes a while to get used to Tyler Perry in a non-Madea role. A must see.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Very creepy, and still very effective, Paranormal delivers on the scares, and at a time when so few Hollywood horrors succeed on that front, we should be grateful for the consistency of the Paranormal Activity films. Well-executed, Paranormal Activity 4 gives you exactly what you'd expect and more. A must see.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Argo has that solid, kick-the-tires feel of those studio films from the 70s that were about something but also entertained. The movieland satire is laid on thick, but it's also deadly accurate. Schlock has never seemed so patriotic, and Arkin and Goodman have rarely been so good. Argo is a terrific movie that pulls off the rare trifecta of being smart, funny and exciting. A must see.
Pros great story, great actors

What movie junkie out there wouldn't leap at the chance to see merry pranksters such as Christopher Walken, Sam Rockwell and Woody Harrelson go nuts in something called Seven Psychopaths? It's crazy-killer fun. Here is a motion picture that proudly bends genre conventions and follows a multilayered narrative not quite like any other viewers will have seen. Seven Psychopaths is refreshingly unorthodox on the level of The Big Lebowski, mixing clever film-about-film elements with dialogue that McDonagh crafted with care. A must see.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

When you first hear about this film you just don't think it's gonna work. But Kevin James got himself into shape and he's a huge fan of the UFC. As on the nose as it is, it pays a ton of respect to the sport and that comes through. Here Comes the Boom" plays it smart through appealing to its audience by acting like the class clown. It doesn't break any new ground, but it's entertaining and a must see.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

A scary movie that knows the imagination is the scariest place of all. Sinister" ... borrows shrewdly, expanding on the found-footage gimmick in a way that manages to invoke both "Manhunter" and "The Ring." Its
some kind of twisted work of genius, proudly joining the upper echelon of horror cinema. An enjoyably edgy fright flick that meshes serial-killer and haunted house ingredients, with a touch of occult thriller that scares with an absolute relentlessness. A must see.
Pros well paced
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Chbosky brings genuine feeling to his variation on teenage angst and unrequited love, developing soulful characters and a funny but melancholy narrative. Regardless of the viewer's proximity to his or her own high school experience, "Perks" seems to get it right, precisely because it's not about a specific time or place. Teenage wallflowers, past and present alike, will feel tingles of recognition, and pure pleasure. A must see.
Pros great story
Yes, I recommend this movie.

If a viewer enjoyed the exotic locale and fast-paced action in the original film, here they get a different city and even more amped-up happenings, with a plot that intrigues enough to reel a viewer in. Breathless and exciting, it will go well with a bucket of popcorn. A must see.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

It's music, it's comedy, it's fun. Pitch Perfect' seeks nothing more than to be entertaining, and it is. This unabashed dorky/cool embrace of the world of a cappella is a happy surprise at every turn. A must see.
