Amy Adams always surprises me with her versatility and her uncommon balance of being sensual, cute, funny, romantic and tough. Hard to imagine that women don't find Matthew Goode handsome and sexy. The movie was comfortably predictable, laugh-out-loud funny, and full of terrific chemistry.

Amy Adams continues to surprise me. Her range is vast and at points she was annoying in this movie - as her character was supposed to be, with hints of lovableness. I saw Matthew Goode in Brideshead Revisted and really liked him. Sometimes couldn't understand his dialogue due to the accent (but who cares - he's cute and just looking at him was worth the watch). The premise of the movie was cute and predictable - be careful and thoughtful before you make life's big decisions and if you are lucky, you'll make the right decision. I think I'm going to take a trek across Ireland now....just to meet the locals.

but I still enjoyed this movie! Perhaps I was in the mood for a light-hearted, romantic comedy with great scenery and photography, set in Ireland, rather than Scotland. This highly entertaining movie was just the ticket for an otherwise bleak Canadian winter day. I really enjoyed Amy Adams in her starring role and appreciated the talents of both her male companions. There is nothing to offend in this movie and it's nothing but pure entertainment....enjoy!

As I suspected, this was a heartfelt and uplifting movie and Amy Adams is as adorable as ever. Matthew Goode is a newcome to me and I look forward to seeing more of him. Went to this movie with my 11 year old daughter, but my husband would have liked it as well. Well worth the ticket price for a lovely story, sweet scenes between the stars, and breathtaking, gorgeous scenery. I went to see this movie with my sister and we both really enjoyed it. Amy did a real good job but I didn't really see the spark or connection between them. The plot reminded me of a short film I produced a couple of years ago so that was really cool. Definitely worth seeing.

Not nearly as funny as I thought it would be, this movie still provided me with a sense of joy. Even through the predictable scenarios and sappy moments I found pleasure in the idea of pursuing romance and even more pleasure in the beauty of the main character: Ireland. It alone made my heart pound. When I saw the trailer I thought to myself, to much information and they gave away the ending. They showed the funniest scenes and in case you haven't seen the trailer, don't watch it if you want to see the movie. That seems to be the trend now, show to much of the movie and it spoils the movie. Wait for the DVD as it wasn't worth the $24 at the theater and I'm a big, big screen fan.
Hate Town Center 20, they've gone to reserved seating and $12 per ticket. I avoid this theatre like the plague, but it was close to my dates house and the weather was bad. The competition is $6.75, AMC is screwing up and I love AMC. They get $0 at the concession stand from me and that's unusual. But that's where they make their profit, so none from us.

Okay for a date night movie when you want something light hearted. Characters are shallow and actions very predictable throughout the entire film. Love Amy Adams and Leap Year has some top notch actors doing their thing ....and doing it well. The problem is that we really don't care. We have no empathy or real connection with the lead characters. I did not feel any chemistry or natural motivation for the two primary characters! Why do they like each other or do the things they are doing. There were a few "slapstick" moments of physical comedy that were "cringingly" funny and some gorgeous scenes of Irish countryside and craggy shorelines (especially at the end of the movie) but those all add up to about 10 or 15 minutes - not enough to recommend it. This movie is not a "pot o' gold" at the end of your movie-money-budget rainbow!

This is a perfect date movie. Great Banter and chemistry between the 2 leads. Alot funnier than I thought it would be. We had alot of teen girls near us and they were great to listen to their responses to certain situations in the movie. Many reviewers have lost their sense of enjoyment and romance which this movie has. All critics want are Oscar films and most of them bore people to death. Go Enjoy and have a good time.

Was surprised how good this movie was after reading the poor reviews in the paper. I am so glad not to pay attention to those and make up my own mind. It was delightful, light, and just what you need after listening to all the "ills" on the news.
