I've read the books (ALL of them) and have to say in this instance, the books are MUCH better than the movie IMO. No chemistry between Morelli and Plum; Ranger is supposed to be dark with a pony tail and MUCH more mysterious than what the movie made him out to be. Storyline didn't follow the book especially where the Ramirez storyline was involved - book was much more intense. Katherine Heigl is not a good Stephanie Plum IMO. Morelli - ok; Ranger - a miss; Grandma Mazur - definitely NOT as funny as in the booksl Lula - SPOT ON! Disappointed; wouldn't see it a second time (whereas I've read the books twice)! If you haven't read the books to compare it to, its an ok movie.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I really like John Malkovich in a funny role. Bruce Willis was "ok," but Helen Mirren was AWESOME! Really liked Mary Louise Parker's character too.
Yes, I recommend this movie.

I loved this movie! John Malkovich, Diane Lane, and whomever played the secretary (Mrs. Hamm) were all WONDERFUL! I highly recommend this movie....LOVED THE HORSE and the story (even though I was familiar with what happened).....The music, the scenery, the acting were fantabulous. The only thing I wish they would have noted in the end is that when Secretariat died, they found he had an abnormally large heart (something like 22 lbs) and could have been the reason he actually got faster on longer distances.....AMAZING horse......Beautiful Animal!
Yes, I recommend this movie.

Amy Adams continues to surprise me. Her range is vast and at points she was annoying in this movie - as her character was supposed to be, with hints of lovableness. I saw Matthew Goode in Brideshead Revisted and really liked him. Sometimes couldn't understand his dialogue due to the accent (but who cares - he's cute and just looking at him was worth the watch). The premise of the movie was cute and predictable - be careful and thoughtful before you make life's big decisions and if you are lucky, you'll make the right decision. I think I'm going to take a trek across Ireland now....just to meet the locals.
