What's not to like about a sweet movie set in a gorgeous locale? Amy Adams and Matthew Goode are charming as an "opposites attract" couple on a romantic journey. While predictable, it is nice to spend an hour and a half enjoying a romantic comedy with a happy ending. A little bit of a "chick flick" but my husband did enjoy it. The Ireland scenery is to die for.

This movie is somewhat predictable in the way the guy meets girl, guy and girl fight, guy and girl have chemistry, guy and girl end up together kind of way. However, there are a few unexpected twists and laughs along the way. All that being said, you're still going to like it because A) Amy Adams is cute as a button and B) Matthew Goode (the leading man) is HOT! This is a good date movie. Great for upcoming Valentine's Day date. The BEST thing about this movie, and something definitely worth applauding: no uncomfortable scenes. Rated PG--This deserves props!

Very cute movie - the classic romantic comedy, nothing ground breaking in the genre for sure but still entertaining. Certainly predictable unless this is the first romantic comedy you've ever seen however if you know this going in this movie delivers a delightful story and Amy Adams is absolutely adorable.

What a delightful movie - just loved it and the scenery was just spectacular. With so many awful things happening around the world it was so nice to get away from it all for 1 1/2 hours. Yes, the movie was very predictable, but that's o-k because in the end she really did make the right choice.

I read a lot of reviews that said the movie was predictable...true - you pretty much figure out the end by the trailer. But it is a warm and fuzzy ride watching it play out. The Ireland setting was beautiful ~ true eye candy. Both leads did a great job. And I would agree with other comments that Matthew Goode just didn't seem to fit this role - but it worked. Don't over think it; take a deep breath, go along for the ride and enjoy the view.

This was a wonderful movie. Amy Adams is refreshing and a wonderful actress. I had never heard of Matthew Goode, but I thought he did a wonderful job. There is just the right mix of romance, drama, and comedy. A chick flick for sure, but it's a wonderful ride.
The countryside in Ireland is absolutely amazing I'm planning a trip there this fall now just so I can see it.

This is a definite chick flick in a good sense of the expression. If you want to see a romantic, sweet love story then it's perfect. At times I felt a bit bored, as it goes at a slow pace. Some bits were overdone or felt unnatural, like the way the red car rode backwards so far and ended up in the pond---seems unrealistic. Anyway, overall good movie!

I went to see a romantic comedy but this was so boring and predictable that I fell asleep during the movie.

This movie was a lesson in how not to act out of a paper bag. There were pauses af if they had to think of their lines. I love Matthew Goode and Amy Adams but they were so wrong together. He seemed forced to be with her. In addition, he doesn't have romantic lead in his repertoir. I was really disappointed as I love all things Irish and had looked forward to this. The male lead was boorish and mean and the female lead was so clueless. Just a silly waste of space IMHO.

I went with my close girl friend and we loved it. It had sad moments, funny moments and really issues you could relate to. It was a great time. Perfect for those romantics and comedians at heart.
