The story is engaging, the acting is done extremely well and the animation was beyond compare. After thirty seconds I was no longer aware that the characters were CGI. The scenery and backgrounds are well suited to the IMAX and 3D formats.
Everything associated with the film was done with the highest quality. Great Flick for preteens and older.
If you saw the first Pink Panther film you probably didn't like it and thought it was a pass. But I went and saw this yesterday and I loved it. I have to admit it was the best out of all of the Pink Panther movies. Lilly Tomlin had a role that she was very good at, Steve Martin got in a lot of mischeif, and this movie is so funny you could laugh your head off. So this was better than the first one and it's worth your money. So the next time you're bored and want to do somthing fun, go to the movies and go see this film.
This is a movie you have to follow closely. There are details that are easily missed, which are important at the end. That being said, Naomi Watts and Clive owen are both very good and believable as dedicated law officers. This movie gives a realistic look at the illicit banking industry that seems to thrive in Europe.
I was a little sceptical going in about the plot being believable: Can criminals in a foreign country be tracked down in a matter of four days? They movie made it clear that it can be done and showed how. Neeson was perfect for the role. This is the best of the 2009 movies so far. Good for 12 and over.
If you have either read Inkheart or are reading the book, odds are you will like this movie. I'm reading the book right now and I love both the movie and the book equally. If your favorite movie genre is either Action or Adventure, there is no doubt that you will like the movie. A lot of the action sequences were brillant and exciting, the plot is like the book and not another movie that is very different from the book, and it's a great film for the whole family. So if you hear other people say it's not worth your money, don't listen to them. All you have to do is take my word and go see it.
Eastwood has created another gem. A powerful look at the generational and cultural gaps in America, and at how the qualities that all good people have in common can bridge them.
Figuring that I was taking the wife to see just another chick flick, I was pleasantly surprised with the story - where the vampires are really decent individuals and are doing their best at fitting in with the world. The romance part of the story is modern day gothic. This is one a guy can take his girl to and not have to feel like a martyr.
It is for mature audiences, but is the most realistic espionage film to come out in some time. The movie did a good job of illustrating how brutal the whole anti-terrorism effort can be. There is great counterplay between the aloof spymaster and the involved person who is at risk and dealing with the situation first hand.
