Not the best movie i've ever seen but not the worst either. I'm not really a Tim Burton fan with the exception of the first Batman with Michael Keaton & Jack Nicholson but I expected more from this film. I didn't even want to see it, my girl forced me to & she wanted to leave halfway though it. I made the best of it but it sure was depressing. I'd give it 3 stars out of 5 just because of Depp.

This movie was, bluntly speaking, awesome. The imagery was brilliant but not to the level of Avatar. Mia Wasikowska was amazing as Alice and I loved every minute of her. She was so innocent and confused that it made watching her even better. You can't even compare this movie to Avatar because Avatar was shot with an actual 3D camera, but this movie was rendered in 3D after it was shot. Still, in context, this movie was really, really good. And it really helps if you watch the movie blown. Like i mean extremely blown. Like blown on Alice in WOnderlands. Always makes for a better time. Like seriously blown, cause it only made the movie better, and what is so wrong with making the movie better.

The movie was good and totally watchable, however it was a little slow going and not as spectacular as I thought it would be. I think it would have been just as good in 2D as it was in 3D. Loved the way the movie started with all the "Underland Colors", but parts were too muted and dark. Couldn't see all the details. All in all a very entertaining film - a typical Depp/Burton/Bonham-Carter collaboration. All the main characters were believable except for the "ethereal" quality of Anne Hathaway - didn't like how she came off as a dotty mess.

I was concerned about this film, because Tim Burton doesn't always do silly well (in other words, I was afraid this would be another Charlie and the Chocolate Factory). I was pleased to find that the film worked well. The special effects were good, and the story kept a good pace.
Having said that, it wasn't exactly groundbreaking cinema either. While entertaining, this was not a redefining version of the Alice tales. I also saw it in 3D, and I recommend against spending extra for it. Unlike with Avatar and Coraline, 3D did not add much to the viewing experience.
In summary, this is a pretty good movie. Go see it if you like Tim Burton, but don't expect it to become your new favorite Tim Burton film.

I thought the beginning was fantastic. Once Alice was in Wonderland my interest started to wane. Nothing was particularly clever, imaginative, or most importantly creepy. Depp was trying too hard and his costume way too over-designed. There was nothing to latch onto, the narrative was lacking any urgency or intrigue. This is a huge misstep after the wonderful Sweeney Todd.

i actually liked this movie because it was different from the first one but still had some of the original elements. i liked the dry humor that was in it but think that some of the humor was s for older people like myself because only a few of us were laughing. my only compliant was that sometimes i could not hear what johnny depp was saying. overall i liked it

We thought it was a touch of the Wizard of Oz mixed in with Alice in Wonderland. The White Queen especially was a little Glinda like. Expected it to be a little "darker" and kind of wish it was less a kid movie. Loved the message with the grown up Alice making decisions that made her strong and independant. The Cheshire Cat was my favorite.

Was entertaining but not the best. Did not leave me wanting to watch it again. The 3D effects were great but the story was weak. But was better than a lot of other movies and being emmersed in a 3D world for a unexpectedly short 1:49 is still a nice getaway..

When i say i've been waiting for this movie to come out since i first heard about it...i kid you not. As a fan of both Tim Burton and Johnny Depp, I wasn't quite sure what to expect....would i be disappointed....well rewarded...WHAT? Well this movie does not disappoint.
The characters are rich, funny and full of live. the Setting...vibrant and engrossing....Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter...there is no one better for this part..and Mia...is amazing as Alice.

Alice in Wonderland, in 3D, is one of the best made movies I have seen in some time. I was very impressed by the graphics of the movie, and the story line was very interesting as a sequal from the original. Overall, I was very happy with the movie and had a great time seeing it. Excellent performances by Johnny Depp and Helena Bonjam Carter made up for the adequate efforts of the rest of the cast... aside from Anne Hathaway who just seemed very "off" as the White Queen. I would have given this movie 4 out of 5 stars if not for the halfhearted ending back in "reality" which was, in my opinion, more in the realm of high fantasy than anything Alice encountered down in Underland.

Saw this movie in 3-D, and thought the movie was Average. The 3-D was not spectacular and at times got a little messy(the falling down the rabbit hole, and the running from the Card men). It seemed like it was lacking something, but I couldn't put my finger on it. The acting though was pretty well done for the most part, but it just didn't seem to flow.

The movie was imaginative and colorful. The 3D effects were cool but possibly unnecessary. Great storyline with the very fun character that we all know and love from the first Alice and Wonderland. Everyone is completely mad in this world. Johnny Depp, Burton's right-hand man, played a wonderful Mad Hatter and Burton's wife, Helena Bonham Carter, was just as crazy as she was in any other previous movie. The movie's was a sadly less that par, ending without much explanation before rolling into the credits. Good movie and should be given a chance.

The story is what really surprised me, it was very well concieved and did an excellent job of pulling out numerous obscure details from the original books. The visual effects provided a solid foundation for the viewer to get lost in the world of underland. Probably the best choice for total enjoyment of this movie is the addition of the 3D experience. There's nothing more engaging than having the cheshire cat sit on your shoulder as you watch the show.

The movie did have a slow storyline, however, the majority of viewers already know the story. I saw the movie in 3D and that made it quite a bit more exciting. The effects were entertaining. Depp did a wonderful job, and the bloody red queen was entertaining.

I enjoyed this movie. I liked the story and thought it was what it was suppose to be. Cute, funny, and entertaining. It is a great kid’s movie, but going with two adults, found it to have a lot for us too. Only thing I was disappointed with was the colors on screen. I expected it to have wild, beautiful, crazy colors. But it was set with a gray haze?? Maybe I wasn't sitting in a good place. But if that be the case, then that fact should be worked out in regards to the 3D. Go see this film when you need a light hearted, fun and happy feeling. Johnny Depp was wonderful as always and the cat was the best!

Very entertaining with just a slight twist which honours earlier versions of this classic.
Great performance by J. Depp.
The 3-D was a waste though. Directors need to understand this technology first and then shoot the film based on this knowledge. The 3-D effects in this film were rare and forgetable. NOT FOR CHILDREN UNDER 8!!!!! Parents-be responsible and do NOT bring your 3-6 year olds!!!

I loved this movie and will buy it as soon as it comes out, however, I did not enjoy the 3D. I felt it distracted fromthe story and wish I would have skipped that version. Other than that run to see it!!!
