Very entertaining with just a slight twist which honours earlier versions of this classic.
Great performance by J. Depp.
The 3-D was a waste though. Directors need to understand this technology first and then shoot the film based on this knowledge. The 3-D effects in this film were rare and forgetable.

Go for the effects - stay for the plot.
Effects are incredible. Amazing. Awesome.
Plot is actually interesting.
A little too long. Could have done without many of the war scenes.
Overall: great movie which MUST be seen in 3D
Yes, I recommend this movie.
