There were a few plot holes, but overall, this was a fun movie. I thought that the actors matched their roles very well. As for what weapons that each of them had when they hit the planet, they were given the exact weapons that they used in everyday life as "predators". However, the problem that I did have was, why didn't they pick up every weapon that they came across?

Like the iconic first film, this is a straightforward romp of hunting and killing in the woods, with a cast of unique badasses who are all good at what they do. With the addition of some crazy and deadly animals, and a wacky turn by Laurence Fishburn, the film makes for a fun cinematic experience.

Why did no one put on mud the second the girl tells them THAT'S HOW ARNOLD BEAT THE PRED THAT SHOWED UP IN THE JUNGLE ON EARTH?? And how did the OTHER Predator use HIS iphone to blow up the OTHER Preadators ship??? Why is the self destruct switch on SOMEONE ELSE'S wrist computer thing? HOW WAS TOPHER GRACE ABLE TO WALK PERFECTLY FINE AFTER BEING MAIMED BY A BEAR TRAP?
There are more plot holes than I can shake a stick at in this movie. Predators was only enjoyable when i was laughing at it. Weak movie overall but at least it was better than the AVP movies and maybe on par with Predator 2.

The previews were probably the best part of the movie. I thought most of it was improbable, contrary to other viewer's reactions, and was not as intense or as believable as the original Predator. I certainly didn't understand the doctor's soliloquy about being "normal" on that planet.

The movie started off a bit slow to me. I am a fan of many and most sci-fi movies but the way this one started off left much to the imagination. Some of the one-liners were taken from previous Predator vs. Alien movies as well. I fell asleep on and off in the beginning of the movie just due to lack of action. Some people shouldn't have been put in the movie as well. The role of Laurence Fishbourne was not explained really and didn't need to be in the movie at all. I feel as if this movie was rushed and it only got headlines because it use the "Predator" name. I'm old school and remember the original one that stuck in my head. Some of the music that was used was from the original as well. I would not recommend this movie to someone else.

I love the predator concept, and I was excited to see them want to make this film and I thought the concept clever, but then i thought why? Past predators have always hunted the home grounds of their prey. This didn't feel right. then the characters that we met, i think to many were put into play to give us time to see them as real killers. and the fearless leader didn't seem to enjoy the hunt as much as a true killer should. In past movies the hunters that survived were respected, I feel the honnor was taken from the fight. The aliens were just killing machines in this film. The film maker took away what we knew of these aliens and didn't teach us anything new.

You have to admire a movie that goes straight into an action sequence, briefly reveals its name, and then continues with the action; in fact, within the first 2 minutes of the film you know exactly what you paid for and what it was you came to the movies to see. Had the previous Predator movies not existed, and if the Aliens movies didn't exist, this would've been one of the most original and pleasurable action films of all time. But those movies do exist, so it isn't as exciting as it otherwise would be. Even still, it's done very well. Alice Braga is the new princess of action movies--beautiful, exquisite, subtle, intelligent, strong willed, and believably tough--no amount of dirt or heavy equipment has the capacity to undermine the elegance of her feminine ascetic appeal, and yet it is still in the forefront of mind that she might actually be a dangerous and formidable person; I like her a lot. Adrian Brody, Topher Grace, Louis Ozawa Changchien, and Walton Goggins all deserve some props as well for making their characters seem real and believable in a fantasy world. After seeing the movie I left with an overwhelming sense that I've seen this all before, but I'm still very glad I got to see it this time.

I don't know what I expected to find with this movie. But I thought it was fantastic. Brody as a bad ass? Yes... The one liners were funny, not overly cheesey. Ending, awesome. Fishburne wonderful. Was nervous about predators being "overdone" CGI etc...But not at all. They were perfect. The possibility of overacting in these types of movies is pretty high. Not here. Visually stimulating and suspenseful too. Well done Rodriguez...I'd see it again, and again.

Andrian Brody was Great. He kept the movie going. I enjoyed it and it really lived up to my expectations. Second only to the first Predator. It ended with the expectation there will be a sequel. I will be right there, expecting the thrill and excitement. The Predators were also good as always

I thought it was a good way to bring back predators from the original movies. I was expecting a disapointment in the film, instead it turn out to be a lot better than I would have imagined. If you were into the original aliens and predator movies I would recommend going to see the film.

The new "Predators" movie has re-energized a fun story by staying true to the original, mysterious circumstances, leading us into a little more information, then showing how what we know opens more questions than it provides answers. The movie doesn't try to pack in one CG "wow" after another but underplays the action in order to build the suspense. And when the suspense explodes the ride is well-worth the anticipation. Is it possible to "care" about a Predator? Just what does their predatory nature mean? How predatory is humanity and at what cost are we true to our essential natures?
"Predators" provides depth and action, made possible through excellent direction and powerful performances, particularly by Adrien Brody and Tropher Grace. The main characters are not mere place-holders in the midst of mindless, meaningless action sequences, they represent something of who we are and hold up a mirror which asks us to confront the potential horror and promise of our own being.
Strong acting, powerful direction and a script which understands, honors and advances both the fun and the nuance of the original, all make "Predators" more than a worthy successor to the original. It's gone one better.

Okay I will say this movie was not as good as the original but it was still awesome better than predator 2 and definitely better than AvP. The acting was pretty good especially by Lawrence Fishburn. Adrian Brody was good too. I would have liked to see the predators have more screen time and I would have liked the movie to be a bit longer. But definitely a fun movie with good violence and a few fun scares. The second best in the franchise. Not an award winner, but hey its peredators what do you expect, Titanic?

Arnold and company got it all right the first go-round. Brody does his best to carry the film but fails with his impersonation of Christian Bale. All I really wanted to see was the predators in action. Not the useless stories of good for nothing baddies. Having 2 kinds of predators was dumb... there was nothing wrong with the original ones to begin with so why make others. At least the original predator looked cool and not like the 4 legged hound dogs in HellBoy. Another disappointment for the franchise in my mind...but heh at least we we're back in the jungle :-/

This movie was a lot better than Alien vs Predator. Adrien Brody and Topher Grace were by far the best part of the movie. The movie is really fun, but I don't think it was worth the $9 ticket. If I could do it over again I'd wait till it comes out on DVD to see it.

Predators was a rehash of the original without the originality, talent, character development, or strory. The writers just took he same story elements and changed the group from a team to a gang of punks. There was mini-gun guy, the girl and of course the Predator himself. This is something that belongs in a comic book series or graphic novel from Dark Horse, not on a movie screen.
The story needed to be flushed out more. They needed a decent cast with some acting chops (only saving grace was Mr. Fishburne who is wasted here), and there should have something added to the mythos. Out of the $7 I paid, this was worth maybe $3. (I also take off for the stupid commercials the theatre seems to put on). If I wanted to watch commercials, I'd buy a TV.
I would rather have seem Arnold Schwartzenegger and Danny Glover team up for a sequel that this group of morons

Great Predator movie, that brought back the feel of the original. Premise was interesting, characters were great with awesome casting. Alot of action with a little humor as well.

The movie opens quickly and there is plenty of action. I think this latest version of the franchise is a good spin with that Rodriquez flair. Some of the explosions were a bit cheesy, and the story could have been developed a little more but this is a Sci-Fi Action movie not a deep meaningful sole searching movie. Go see it, its entertaining and that's what its all about.
