Yes there was cheese, but this isn't meant to be an Oscar contender. The outfits were fabulous, the locations were amazing, and the story was good, it followed along, tied of strings and was still fun. I would go again with my girlfriends or husband and it will be on my dvd shelf with SATC1. The critics are just finding something to dislike but at the end of the day it is good fun.

I eagerly awaited the premier of this movie but after seeing it have to admit that my anticipation of it was more exciting than I found the movie. Being a fan of the show/movie #1, I enjoyed this movie allowing us to get a glimpse of the lives of 'the girls and their guys' since the end of the first movie. The clothes and shoes were awesome and seeing all of the cast again in these roles was so much fun; however, I was disappointed that the plot did not explore aspects of the character lives as I had hoped and as was done in the first movie. There actually seemed to be story lines which were hinted at, but never developed or explored as could have been done. Such expansion of these stories would have made the movie much more SATC-like. I also thought the trip distracted from the feel of SATC - I would have preferred them staying in NYC to focus on their lives and NYC. Despite all this, I still intend to purchase the DVD when released and see any future movies ..... after all, these are the next chapters in the SATC story and I don't want to miss a minute of it!!!

I loved this movie. I want more! I thought it was even better than SATC 1. It was less choppy and flowed better. This is the movie where they finally grow up. Well, everyone but Samantha. But, isn't that why we love her? She absolutely stole the show. Very funny. Who wouldn't want to go on vacation with their three best friends and be treated like royalty? If you're a sex and the city fan, you'll be very pleased with this movie. Yes it's over the top, but there were some very real and funny moments in it, like when Miranda and Charlotte talk about being moms. Go see it with your BFFs ( I did!) . Escape to Carrie's world for a couple hours. Well worth your time and money. : )

I have watched the girls right from the start so I understand them,some viewers who did not see all the series and the first movie probably did not understand the girls and viewed them negitively . As a big fan of SATC, I expected more drama more feeling,more sex, more like SATC 1. The part that I hated the most and that I will fast forward when I purchase the movie is when all the girls starts singing "I am Woman" and then the whole bar starts singing with them..that was the most cheesiest thing Ive ever seen...I compare it to the scene in Legally Blonde where she has all the ladies in beauty shop doing her stupid pick up dance. Why did they have to put that in the movie? It made classy SATC to some tacky SATC. But overall the fashion and the trip to Abu Dabai was fun to look at. I would recommend to wait for the movie on DVD.

Being a longtime SATC fan, and loving the first movie, I was giddy with anticipation. There were a few laughs but the story line was lame. No exciterment, no surprises other than the bad hair and at times bad wardrobe. I can get more juciness from a gossip session at my local park.

As a married-for-33-years-heterosexual female in her 50's, who didn't follow the TV series, I am stunned and mystified that this movie is as popular as it is! Sex takes 2 people to participate, but this movie is a blatant unappologetic myopic view of spousal relationships. Irregardless of how the women might have been hurt by men or society in their past, shouldn't they now want healing and healthy relationships with their spouses? If yes, then that means considering their partner's needs too! Is is truely some womens' fantasy to have fun and supportive relationships with their girlfriends and not so much with their spouses, while wearing disfunctional trashy 80's retro clothing no less? Euw! The sets/scenery in their fantasy vacation were pretty sweet though:)

I went to see Sex and the City 2 despite the poor reviews and I'm glad I did. I actually found it more entertaining than the first movie and enjoyed myself. No, it's not a great movie, it's much too long, and a good chunk of the Middle East section could have been edited out. But, that said, I laughed out loud at a number of points,(loved the gay wedding and Liza) and I liked the Big and Carrie storyline about them adjusting to married life very much. And I liked the secondary storylines with the other "girls" adjusting to their life changes. I do agree with the reviews that say that the Samantha character needs to be permitted to grown up a bit more. My only wish is that instead of the shenanigans in the Mideast, more attention could have been given to the women getting older and how that impacts on their relationship with each other, with their men and with their children. I think it's a good movie that could have been even better than good.

Cliched, fake, forced, by this time this franchise has become a parody of itself. Everything about it felt tired, tired, tired. I never thought I would hate these girls, but I certainly did here. Since my BFF's made it an outing, complete with champagne brunch, we enjoyed the experience of the film. It was not nearly as good as the first one which I loved. Some of the dialog was laugh-out-loud funny, but some of the actions were over the top, bordering on caricature, particularly Samantha. The plot was thin, which they seemed to try and cover with fabulous scenery and costumes, which were pretty fabulous. Overall, as a diehard fan I enjoyed it, but hope SITC3 is better.

Loved the gay review normalizing gay marriage but setting apart calling the opening marriage ceremony as "so gay," along with a Liza Minelli performance. The comedy could of been more upbeat and Sarah Jessica Parker's character seemed to whine about her imperfect life all the way through the movie that she almost lost with a infedelic kiss. I enjoyed the capers of these fabulous four females as they visited the UAE. Lively, fast paced and the time went by too quickly. Hope to see them all again! The wedding scene was hilarious, as was the "I am woman" karaoke scene.

Ladies,
This is definitely a girl’s night out movie. While the movie first would seem like a direct continuation of the first, it digs deeper into married life, family life, and all of the happiness and struggles that come along with them. I really connected with the girls in the movie and it was worth seeing. Don't wait for the DVD; especially if you have a great group of girlfriends you can go see it with - followed by dinner, and of course a Martini (no-buzz driving ; )
My girlfriend and I had a great time and laughed all night long about the movie – PLEASE be advised it may not be a movie the hubby would be excited about sitting through; I could not have taken my husband and expected him to recount ever tear jerking moment.
Ladies take your closest girlfriend and make it a much deserved evening out, and be sure to pamper yourself all along the way (wink).

This was EASILY the awfullest movie i have ever seen. Let me correct that..the first 50 minutes of the movie were the awfullest I have ever seen. I got up and left after 50 minutes because it was so bad and so un-funny. That is 50 minutes of my life I will NEVER get back. The movie was great! Lots of ups and downs with a good story line. Samantha, who I've always admired, was funny, but has lost her "sparkle" as a cougar. Nice to see Miranda and Charolette bond and Carrie grow in her marriage. Would loved to have seen more of "Smith Jared"!!! and Big couldn't have been a better husband.
