I went to see Sex and the City 2 despite the poor reviews and I'm glad I did. I actually found it more entertaining than the first movie and enjoyed myself. No, it's not a great movie, it's much too long, and a good chunk of the Middle East section could have been edited out. But, that said, I laughed out loud at a number of points,(loved the gay wedding and Liza) and I liked the Big and Carrie storyline about them adjusting to married life very much. And I liked the secondary storylines with the other "girls" adjusting to their life changes. I do agree with the reviews that say that the Samantha character needs to be permitted to grown up a bit more. My only wish is that instead of the shenanigans in the Mideast, more attention could have been given to the women getting older and how that impacts on their relationship with each other, with their men and with their children. I think it's a good movie that could have been even better than good.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
