I am an easily entertained viewer, and that's why I go to a film. This movie is witty, fun and kept me entertained throughout. It moves along at a rapid clip and wasn't too long. A little humor for the over 40 set, and Stallone and Co. did a great job. Definitely left a taste for an Expendables II.

It's a fun, high body count action movie. Dialogue isn't the best, some action scenes are not believable (are any anymore?) but it was entertaining.

Since I am a big Stallone fan and my man wanted to see this flick, I treated him to tickets. He loved it and I loved seeing him love it. Lots of blood and guts, which he likes. Several humorous lines and great male bodies, which I like!! A little confusing as to who was fighting for whom and why--but then I am a gal who thinks of these things. Would go again if he wanted me to.

Sylvester Stallone has done it again. The soundtrack was great. It was sooo cool to see all the familiar faces and Jet Li was hilarious. The action was as only Stallone could do and showed some soul. Sylvester Stallone always has the right idea when it comes to the expression of a movie. I was slightly surprised by the movie as the trailers did not do it justice. He gave these guys heart and there was no cheesy, old guy-young girl added in, simply that a person moved him to do the right thing because she stood for something. Never does he come off like some has-been nor are you embarassed by his actions. The rest of the cast is superb and the action is exhausting, of course unbelievable, but this was the point after all. The only part that had bad acting was Arnold's cameo appearance -- but was Arnold ever really that good unless he was playing a stiff Terminator? Oh, and Sly has terrific form in this -- how the heck did he do that?

I felt it was extremely ignorant of people to rate this movie on plotline and character development. This movie achieved exactly what it was suppose to, and should have been what was expected. What can you expect from a movie like the expendables..a film that stars just about every action film muscle bound has been or will be? It 's going to be a great time if you surround yourselves with the right people while watching! Sure, the movie has a obvious moronic plot filled with bad dialogue and worse one liners, awful CGI blood effects throughout, and even some shots completely out focus that seem like they should of been in focus. Even with all these mistakes the movie makes up for it with characters. There's a reason these guys are famous action hero's. They all have such a charisma that they could be mumbling dog crap and still make it sound attractive.

Lots of action, with a nice patriotic undertone. CG is better than some people say. All of these are "action heros" I grew up watching, great to see them in what will most likely be their last big movie. Since I live in New Orleans, it was also good to see the locally shot scenes. There were very few slow scenes. All of these guys are still in great shape for their age. Overall a 10/10. Would have been better to see a Saiga12 used instead of the AA12.

I've never been to a movie that had no dialogue, you had no idea what it was about, and had no idea who the characters were. This is a total rip off. The action was fake and the fighting scenes basically were one sided with no one fighting back! This movie was an excuse to get actors together who need to make some money. Of a sort - you get exactly what you go for. Repetitive violence with all the new special effects bells and whistles, touches of humor, cameo appearances, and more. I went to watch this movie since it got good reviews from other viewers. At the end I expected more from this movie then what I got. If you want to watch just pure action with blood/killing/explosion then go for it. Its a no brainer movie with a horrible story line. Most scenes that were suppose to be funny just made it seem more corny. Besides Stallone and Statham all the other characters were never developed. I guess it was cool to see Arnold play a small part in the movie at least. But Stallone's recent Rambo movie was way better. Overall Grade for Expendables = C- Watch it on BluRay instead when it is out is my recommendation.

It was a good movie, although I think they should have spent less time making it a bigger body count. It was graphic so for those that don't want to see a body actually blown apart don't see this one. I grew up on stallone films so for all the haters out there.....bite me. You get to see his style of humor in this one. Yes, even when the body parts are flying you get to laugh at this one. I have no idea why Rourke was even in this one. He was just taking up space, I wasn't impressed and he looked like he just walked off the set of Iron Man 2. I loved Dolph Lundgrens roll, he was just twisted. But then again, that's Stallone's humor. It is definately worth seeing. My own 64 year old mother is going to see it, and she doesn't like graphic films. That should tell you something right there.

Frankly I was a little disappointed. The action scenes were great, but all the slow, sluggish, stuff in between them was just plain boring. Not really any story line at all. Hardly got to see Bruce Willis at all. And I just plain didn't understand the ending with Dolph Rundgren. I wanted to give it 2 and 1/2 stars, but it's either 3 or 2. So I gave it 2. If you are looking for a moral in the story you are at the wrong movie. Action almost continuously either drama or physical assault from water boarding to fire fights. The relationship between the dictator and his daughter is not convincing. The interplay between the characters was good. Jason Statham was very good in his part, Sylvester and the rest of the characters were okay. rourke was better than the others his character was a little more developed. I will buy this DVD when it comes out because this is the first time all these big name actors have appeared together in a film. It will be a keepsake. The movie itself was not as good as I expected, but it was still good. I recommend that you see it at the matinee or wait for the DVD.

Yes, this is another action pack movie, but one that is EXPENDABLE! Poor charaters and poor editing (i.e. last airplane scene where sylvester takes off his flack jacket to a quick cut with him wearing it before getting into pilot seat without it. And what happened to all those facial cuts?). Hey Sylvester, I love ya, but it's time to retire from the heavy hitting, even Jet Li looked bad. Blood and guts scenes moved to quick to really enjoy, although that body slam with sly looked good, but overall............ehhhh.

I like the actors especially Jason Stathom and Jet Li, but the acting SUCKED so bad, Jet Li was a better actor than most of them and he hardly can speak english....The action was ok, but the GORE was so computerized I thought I was watching The Matrix parts 2 and 3. If you must watch it, make sure you watch it at matinee prices or wait until it is in the $2 movie. Such a dissapointment :(

If you are a Stallone fan or a fan of any of the guys in these movies and you love action, you will love this movie. This is hands down the best action movie of 2010. I am pre ordering this on dvd. It was awesome. Viewer beware there is a lot of gore and carnage in this movie. I am a girl and I loved this movie. I am also a huge stallone fan. I love Jason Statham too. I would totally recommend this movie to a friend.
