Okay, this movie is a train wreck which is what makes it so entertaining. Um, vampire breeds and one bite from this guy changes you. For those of you that just want a good laugh and enjoy watching bad movies go see this. If you're looking for a serious movie that doesn't make you say "whhhaaaaat was that" don't see it. I loved it. Somehow even though Colin played the character so over the top, he managed to pull it off without it being an awful movie. Its fun, it's cheesy, it's silly...and I'm sorry but if some guy was digging chunks of earth that had to weight at least 80 lbs and throwing it across the yard I'd be running and not waiting for the house to blow up. And why is it that the fire only went down the line and not in his face......one of the many things you'll be thinking while you enjoy the silliness. I've seen it twice already and going to see it at least once more. It's so awesomely bad you have to see it. maybe you can figure out why colin hisses at a beam of sunlight that doesn't even touch him. Don't mean to spoil it, but trust me there's plenty more where that came from.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY!!!!!!! This is one of the worst movies I've seen. The aliens were based on squid/octopi that eat brains. I kept crossing my fingers hoping it would get better but it didn't. The CGI effects were good other than the whole octopus thing. And what's with the guys shoelaces. Red laces in black boots is what white supremacists wear. I've crossed paths with enough of those punks to recognize the wardrobe. There wasn't even a solid ending. It's like the writers didn't know what to do at the end. It's a waste of time and money. Go see RED instead.
It was a good movie, although I think they should have spent less time making it a bigger body count. It was graphic so for those that don't want to see a body actually blown apart don't see this one. I grew up on stallone films so for all the haters out there.....bite me. You get to see his style of humor in this one. Yes, even when the body parts are flying you get to laugh at this one. I have no idea why Rourke was even in this one. He was just taking up space, I wasn't impressed and he looked like he just walked off the set of Iron Man 2. I loved Dolph Lundgrens roll, he was just twisted. But then again, that's Stallone's humor. It is definately worth seeing. My own 64 year old mother is going to see it, and she doesn't like graphic films. That should tell you something right there.
I grew up watching The A-Team and was pleasantly surprised with this movie. They made it a prequil to the tv series instead of doing a remake. The series touched on the "crime they were wrongly convicted of" but never gave you a clear picture. I was impressed with the casting as well. While you can never replace the original A-Team this movie was not offensive to one fan of the tv show. Thanks.
Since I NEVER compare sequels to the first movie I think it was a excellent movie. The first movie is always is new and exciting, but in the sequel you get more into character development and introductions to other characters. That is exactly what this movie did with as much humor and excitement as the first. Great for a sequel. I was in Australia when it was released there, 8 days earlier than the US release, of course I went on opening night. I loved it so much I've seen it twice more since I came back to the states. Robert did it again, he stole the show and made the movie awesome!
This move was the best I've seen in a long time. It was funny, exciting, witty, etc. etc. For the fans that love Doyle, don't expect it to be like to books. The books were written many, many years ago and trying to make the movie true to the books wouldn't make money in hollywood in 2009. Give me a break. So the haters.....back off! Robert was brilliant.....again. All in all, this movie is a must see!
It was a good movie. But the 3-d effects weren't great and the movie was too bloody long. I was bored half way through. The story could have been told in an hour less time at least. Rent it on dvd so if you get bored with it you can turn it off and not have to pay an arm and a leg to get in.
Don't waste your money on this one. It was so bad I walked out. I have only walked out of two other movies in the past 15 years, and I see AT LEAST 30 movies in the theatre in a year. I was contstantly looking at my watch to see how much longer the movie was, and that is never a good sign.
I went just to see the special effects in 3-D. It wasn't worth the money I paid even though it had Jensen Ackles in it.(I'm an avid fan of Supernatural) What a waste. The plot was dull, the special effects were bad, and aside from Jensen the acting was atrocious. Don't bother paying to see it at all. Not even to rent it on DVD!
