This film was absolutely fantastic. They did a great job including all of the important things that happened in the book that are critical to the story. It's action packed - making it husband/boyfriend friendly. I can't wait to see this movie again - and I'm even more excited for Breaking Dawn next year! GO SEE ECLIPSE!! It's the best of the 3 so far!

I was really looking forward to this movie after reading book 3 so I had high hopes for it. I wanted to movie to go more in depth about the "history" of the indians especially and of the vampires. I thought everyones' story was interesting and thought if displayed in the movie everyone would be more appreciative of the Twilight series. Also what was with the "breaking" of the vampires in the battle. C'mon.

I, too, am a thirty-something female and I enjoy the Twilight series. I've lost count of how many times I've read through the books. I bought my movie ticket a month in advance. I really enjoyed "Eclipse." It was entertaining and well-acted. I had the added benefit of seeing the film while sitting directly in front of a family of nine ladies who were Twi-hards. It was fun learning, not names, but official Team Edward/Team Jacob designations. Not to mention listening to their reactions during the film! I'm Team Edward. (:

I am an adult fan of the Twilight Series, and I found myself disappointed with the movie adaptations of the first 2 books. David Slade, however, hit the nail on the head. Eclipse, the movie, had all of the romance, action, and tension that were such an integral part of the book. My one piece of advice is - don't listen to the critics. Eclipse was not made to win an Academy award (thank you David!) - it was made to entertain. And I for one was thoroughly entertained. It is only too bad that real men don't measure up to Edward or Jacob. Hmmm, maybe that is why the Twilight Series is so popular with adult females...

The movie was great. the only downfall to the movie was that the actress who plays victoria was different. Other than that, it was great. the kissing scene was great with both edward and jacob. you could tell her true passion though.

I enjoyed this movie alot, & even went back for a third viewing.
I think there were parts of the book & dialogue that should have been included ( e.g. Jacob's " the clouds I can handle. I can't fight with an Eclipse"), but all in all the story was well-told on film.
The CGI was terrific, & the action scenes were well executed.
My favorite part was Edward's proposal to Bella, positively made me melt!
Wish we didn't have to wait so long for Breaking Dawn.
BIG thanks to my granddaughter for introducing me to the Twilight Saga!

Great movie--would have been better with the original Victoria. This one was not believable emotionally--seemed too cold & distant, unconnected rather than passionate and vengeful over the loss of her true love James. All the others were fantastic!!

Ok they did a much better job at the special effects and picture quality.
Is it better than the last one.....kinda. It did a horrible job in the beginning helping the viewer get setup for the plot/scenes - if you read the book, you would understand what the characters were referring too. Also they needed to make the anticipation of the "newborns" to be more intense ....it was just kinda "blah".
Hoping the next two movies get better in the directing of the actors and pull out of them better performances.

Although the books are always better, this was the best "twilight" movie yet. Action was moving and they kept enough of the original story to make it pertinent. To make a totally excellent over the top movie you would need too many hours. I would recommend this to everyone. There is enough action for the guys and enough gush for the girls (or vice versa).

The only problem I have with this movie is that the way things happen aren't the same as in the book. They still happen, but don't start off the right way. For example when Bella and Edward see Jacob at school. Bella doesn't go off with Jacob. But over all it's the best of the 3. I can't wait till Breaking Dawn!!!

I love this movie, as I knew I would. It played out as well as hugely fictional story should on the big screen. The reviews complaining about the make up & strange acting irritate me. The characters are vampires, they are supposed to act wierd & look "dead" . I thought it was great. Can't wait for the next ones.

This movie was the worst one so far in the series; Bella & Edward are just boring to watch at this point! The actors are doing the best they can with the material; 90 minutes would have been long enough to get through this trite story. The most interesting part was the back story scenes for Rosalie and Jasper.

I like the story so I would see it again... BUT... Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner just can not ACT. Kristen Stewart is just playing actual self and Taylor is extremely HOT but that's about it. His acting skills are... OMG... NOT GOOD.
Everyone else did a great job and minus the jorts they insist on making the wolf pack wear.
I enjoyed the movie and some of the actors were great with the exception of Taylor and Kristen.

I am an avid reader, and I've read all of the Twilight books multiple times. This third movie was much better and accurate compared to the first two. The action, drama, and romance are all very good.

I didn't have high expectations because books are always better than movies, and the first two weren't spectacular. I felt it was much better than the first two though. The acting still wasn't the best, but we got to see a little more character interaction, and personality from Edward. It was actually humorous at times. Action started earlier on and the plot carried through much better than New Moon. Looking forward to Breaking Dawn!

The hair, makeup, wardrobe folks on this movie need to take up a different career. How did the director look at them while acting and think "yeah....that looks good". I didn't particularly like Bella's clothes either.
A lot of close-ups in this movie. I found myself thinking how Kristen and Rob have no nose hair. I don't think I should be thinking about this during my first viewing of a movie. Maybe if I watched it a few times....
People laughed in the theater when Jackson Rathbone took center stage. He didn't do a very good job, and I was hoping he would.
The scene where he is teaching everyone to fight "newborns" was laughable. It felt like they were reaching, trying to figure out ways to put a little more action into the movie (even if this scene is in the book).
All-in-all the movie stayed close to the book. But I think stories like these are better off in book form after seeing this movie. A lot of cheesy dialogue.
