I would like to applaud Leonardo DiCaprio. for making a major comeback from "Shutter Island." Not that his last movie was bad, but it wasn`t in the same league as "Inception."
This move had an incredible cast, and the most original story. The right mixture of action and drama, that leaves you wanting more. The music that Hanns Zimmer has done for this movie is also intense, and utterly beautiful. I loved Joseph Gordon-Levitt in this movie, as well as my girl Ellen Page!!!! I`ve seen this movie 2 times already, and i`m probly going to go see it a few more times.

I was unpleasantly surprised at the total lack of meaningful plot or any depth to hold my attention for such a long film. To me it was a complete waste of my time and that of the talented cast, but at least they got paid for it. Dazzling special effects are a dime a dozen these days, and without them, in my estimation, there was no merit to the entire movie.

There's a certain amount of exposition that necessarily occurs to acquaint the audience with the rules of the dreamworld and it requires the kind of attention that you wouldn't normally give to a film like "Hot Tub Time Machine." That said, once you grasp the concepts being thrown at you, you'll better enjoy the metaphorical craziness that ensues.
DiCaprio is in fine form and the rest of the cast, notably Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Marion Cotillard, are excellent.
This film is definitely Nolan's most personal work and features implied homages to his favorite movies (like "2001: A Space Odyssey" and "On Her Majesty's Secret Service") and filmmakers such as Ridley Scott, Michael Mann and Alfred Hitchcock.
It's refreshing to see a film that's not afraid to challenge an audience to keep up and I highly recommend to take this challenge on. It'll be well worth the effort.

The acting from the three leads in this film, DiCaprio, Gordon-Levitt, and Page, was so beige that I was constantly mindful that I was watching three actors pretend to be in a movie about dreams. I could never suspend my disbelief long enough to just enjoy the ride. The rest of the cast was awesome, (especially Tom Hardy), and the effects are worth the ticket price. The film could have been about something more meaningful, and frankly all the alternate realities were just gimmicky and too much to keep track of. Other than that, it was a good time.

Works on a cerebral level, a visceral/excitement level and an emotional level. I cannot speak highly enough about it. And God bless Warner Bros for letting Nolan make the movie he wanted with the budget he wanted and not dumb anything down like most films these days.

This was a great movie. If you enjoyed Matrix, you will enjoy this. The concept itself is brilliant. Although Leo's role had no purpose going into the mission until he got there, it didn't make sense why he was involved with it at all.

I read the reviews for this movie, asked my friends about it and decided to take a look. After about 45 minutes into it I found myself sorely disappointed with the acting, the story progression, and the development of the characters (no genuine or believable character development). Watanabe, Page, and Gordon-Levitt demonstrated some of the poorest acting I've seen since Con Air (with Watanabe difficult to understand 90% of the time). Bottom-line, I believe that the movie did a good job of hypnotizing everyone into thinking that the Matrix want-to-be story was deep or intriguing. Please don't waste your time.

As a fan of the "Matrix" genre (the first of the trilogy, not the other two), I was interested when reviewers compared "Inception" to that film. They were wrong; "Inception" is even better. With a well-developed plot (or two), an excellent cast, action that is pretty much non-stop, special effects that enhance (rather than overwhelm) the story, and a final, complex, edge-of-the-seat sequence very neatly executed by the film maker that left this viewer breathless and satisfied (almost!), what's not to like? Well worth watching again!

Absolutely one of the most ridiculous, nonsensical, overhyped movies of recent times. The special effects, although they tried hard, could not conceal the lack of a coherent plot. A tremendous waste of a great cast, with the exception of Ellen Page, who distinguished herself with her amazing lack of talent, would really benefit from the installation of a battery.
No, I do not recommend this movie.

Inception is the brilliant blockbuster of the summer season simply because it breaks the formula and actually makes you think. What is brilliant is that many people with keep going to the film to see if they can "figure" it out by watching it again. I had a lot of fun. Some parts were a little stiff at times... but the performances were great.
