I went to watch this movie with an apprensive mindset. Was pretty sure i wouldnt understand much n so wouldnt like the movie. but about 10 minutes into it...i became so engrossed in it .it was one of best movies i have seen ever. Hats Off to the guys behind the venture.

I'm a jaded movie goer. I cringe when I have to pay out that much cash for a movie that doesn't come close to the expectation I had.
"Avatar" exceeded my expectations and I'd pay to see it again.
Everyone knows about the visuals, but incredible isn't even a good enough word to describe it. I was literally swept away into the movie like I've never been before. It was one of the most visually stunning movies I've ever seen.
Visual wasn't the only aspect of the movie, though. I cared about the characters. The plot, though, not a new one, still captivated me and made me want more.
It's a movie worth seeing - definitely worth seeing in theaters!

Great movie but must be seen in 3D to get the total experience.
IMAX 3D is the ultimate experience and should not be missed.
I've seen it in regular 3D and IMAX 3D and IMAX 3D is the way to go. You can almost reach out and touch their world. They have touched mine.

Avatar is an epic, reminding me of the first Star Wars experience years ago. Indeed, some of the ideas seem to have been plucked right off the planet of Endor. But the story is unique, and the action is sufficient to overcome the length of the movie. See it in 3D and Imax, or it will shrink somewhat. Even the young children sitting around us seemed entranced until the end.

James Cameron achieved an amazing feat, by almost reinventing movies as we know them. The 3D experience is amazing! The anti-war message doesn't hurt the movie either. It's a must see, in spite of the predictable plot.

Just saw this movie last night and all I can say is, AWESOME !,...
Great story, I didn't find myself bored for one second from begining to end.
It has romance for the girls and action for the guys..
Seeing it in imax 3d just made it that more amazing,, Definetaly wourth every penny to watch. If you have the opportunity to see this in imax don't miss out, you wont be disappointed.
Just one thing though, you might want to think twice before bringing a child since there is some bad language and the movie becomes a little violent at some points.

This movie has all the elements of a classic! Cameron should be proud of what is a vivid and visual explosion of color, graphics and imagination. The 3-D Imax had my head spinning. The story line is nothing short of a social conscience statement on the choices we all make - both human and Avatar - in the effort to save our world. Perhaps the best movie I have ever seen!

I saw this on the IMAX and was completely blown away! This has to rank as one of the best movies that I have ever seen. I would categorize it with Lord of the RIngs. In the movie, you want to shout out during some scenes (like when the good guys are winning). Everybody clapped at the very end too, which is a rarety. I really enjoyed it and the IMAX experience made it even better. I am definitely going to buy this movie when it comes out on DVD. Don't disappoint yourself by waiting until it comes on DVD/Pay Per View. Go and see it on the big screen!

This is unquestionably the most amazing movie experience I've ever had. We saw the IMAX 3d version and I found myself wholly enthralled throughout the length of the movie. Everyone should see this movie, it's certainly one of a kind and a classic.

I have seen a good number of movies lately, some are good, some are bad. But this is the first movie in a LONG while that actually kept me interested throughout..Amazing story, visuals, and sounds give a very unique experience. For the best effect, recommend viewing it in 3D IMAX

Awesome movie! My daughter asked me to go, at first I was reluctant, thinking this was a younger persons movie. Boy was I wrong!!!. It's been a while since I've seen a movie of this caliber. The IMAX 3-D experience just put the icing on the cake. It's well worth your time, and its best if you can see it in IMAX 3-D.

I saw the IMAX version of this movie and was plunged into a world that seemed real for its entire length. Havng amblyopia, I cannot see the 3D effects except fleetingly but even so I loved the movie. My husband who has normal vision said the 3D effects were awesome and loved it too, even though this is not the type of movie he usually would want to see.

People in the theater actually all clapped at the end of this movie they loved it so much. I'd say the only thing I wish had been written differently is the oh so overplayed scenes where the evil bad guy just keeps on going like some energizer bunny when all around him are killed, he ends up being so hard to kill. This villian scenario has been done so much in so many movies it's very predictable.
But the graphics, effects and acting were all wonderful. I do wish Sigourney Weaver's role had been a bit more developed, she is a wonderful actress whose talents weren't properly utilized in this film.
I do highly recommend this film!

Avatar in 3-D represents the most stunning visual effects I have seen on the big screen. This movie should easily win an Oscar for cinematography and is as revolutionary now as Wizard of Oz was at its release. Action packed, Avatar relies on its pace and score to move us through 3+ months of history in 2.5 hours. It accomplishes this feat with surprising success keeping the audience engaged throughout the movie without any unnecessary scenes. Never before has a movie swept me into its alternate reality with such ease. The story is engaging and had the audience rooting for the good guys. This method of film making bring many epics to mind that would be prime remakes and great successes. Five Stars.

It was refreshing to see a truly creative film with a great storyline. Congrats to Jim Cameron for waiting it out to make a great movie! Only go see it in 3D, preferrably IMAX 3D! Five stars; Two thumbs up!

Without a doubt, the absolute BEST movie I have experienced in my whole life!! I say experienced rather than "have seen" because I don't feel like I saw this movie, I lived through this movie . . . it was like I was really there, living in this beautiful land and experiencing all it's wonders. At the end, tears were streaming down my face and I did not want it to ever end, and I didn't want to leave there. The poor guy sitting in front of me must have had the worst movie experience ever, because I kept kicking his seat back, the movie was so intense and emotional!
