Avatar in 3-D represents the most stunning visual effects I have seen on the big screen. This movie should easily win an Oscar for cinematography and is as revolutionary now as Wizard of Oz was at its release. Action packed, Avatar relies on its pace and score to move us through 3+ months of history in 2.5 hours. It accomplishes this feat with surprising success keeping the audience engaged throughout the movie without any unnecessary scenes. Never before has a movie swept me into its alternate reality with such ease. The story is engaging and had the audience rooting for the good guys. This method of film making bring many epics to mind that would be prime remakes and great successes. Five Stars.
