Excellent animation, WOuld not recommend this movie for younger kids, can be quite scary for the little ones. Need to know the story before seeing the movie but who doesn't know this story. Excellent in IMAX, be careful if you get motion sickness there are flying scenes that can make your stomach jump

How can this movie really go wrong? Jim Carrey does a fantastic job as Scrooge. The classic Charles Dickens novel comes to life on the IMAX screen. Some pretty intense parts though, definitely deserves the PG rating!

The movie had a good beginning and a powerful ending but was not engaging during the middle. In particular the dialog and vocal acting brought down the excitement level of the movie. However, the special effects were spectacular and made the movie very enjoyable.

I watched it on IMAX-3D with my parents, wife and two daughters (5 and 2).
It's a great movie and all the adults thoroughly enjoyed it. I was expecting that my 5 year old would enjoy it, but she many scenes were too intense for her.

I really enjoyed this movie and it wouldn't have been as good if it weren't in 3D. The action was nonstop and it was absolutely heartwarming. Definitely the best rendition of Charles Dickens story I've seen ever. I like how even Disney was able to stay true to the darker parts of Dickens story. Absolutely worth seeing.

We did a family night out with 12 adults and 9 children to see the 3D IMAX version of this movie. The consensus was that the movie was funny, charming, pretty true to the original story, yet offered us an update. Despite knowing what Scrooge would say to the next person and to whom he and the spirit would visit next we could not wait to hear the line delivered and the scene unfold.
The 3D was well done. As opposed to taking over the story, telling the story, or making up for a bad production, the 3D was fantastic, was not overdone and it enhanced the way in which Jim Carrey & Disney told the story

I took my 10 year old son to see this. The movie was very enjoyable, with more highlights than lowlights. Jim Carrey did a great job as Scrooge, without overdoing it. The IMAX 3-D was awesome, with some scenes making you feel like you were in the movie itself. i agree, though, that some scenes may be a little too intense for the younger ones. Even my 10 year old was getting a little spooked at some points but he hung in there. I would recommend this movie. Go IMAX if you can, if not, regular 3-D should be fine.

I will admit it got slow at some points - it lost my 12 year old's attention at times - but the graphics were great - the snowflakes and the flying scenes were awesome - felt like you were flying through the snow. Definitely worth seeing - but go in 3D IMAX if you do go, or you will fall asleep!

Excellent update to a well known story, good cast for voice overs, great use of 3D IMAX to create atmosphere and depth to an animation. The animation itself is also very well done, dark and fitting to the period of the original story.

This movie was awesome. The special effects were amazing. Jim Carrey was able to incorporate his humor as usual and did a great job. My children thought the movie was fantastic. The only complaint my 11 year old had was the glasses were uncomfortable at times. My 5 year old found the ghost of "Marley" scary at first and felt the movie was to loud at times. Otherwise he liked it. There were times that the youngest did not understand the dialect and requested translation. I preferred the dialect because it seemed more authentic to the book. My husband was less than impressed. His description afterwards was "It was just ok." He said that he felt like the movie really didn't "come out" at us like all the other IMAX movies we have seen.

I remember this story from when I was a kid and it was good to see the movie. The IMAX experience was great! I would recommend seeing this movie in IMAX if you can. There are some slow scenes which my daughter lost interest but then it picks up again. It kept me interested and entertained. Great for adults, not so much for teens.

While this movie is one you definitely do not want to take your children to see, if you are an adult Disney fan, this is a must-see movie. The 3-D animation is truly spectacular. There were moments when we could feel we were in the snowy scene, and at times we thought the animation was a shot of a real person, rather than a drawing. My husband stated it was the most wonderful movie he had ever seen. One other aspect of the movie that I truly enjoyed was the soundtrack. The holiday music that was used throughout the film are definite classics that made me want to start decorating immediately. If you live in an area where you can see it in 3-D IMAX, it is a remarkable experience.

A christmas carol is a waste of time. i think it is to scary for kids 9 and under. i wouldn't think you would be too impressed with this Robert Zemeckis film. usally i like his films. but this one is just way over everybody's heads. the 3D was okay. the glasses were huge so they didn't fit. nowone should go see this. this is one of Jim Carrey's worst movies.
