This is NOT a romantic comedy, but the trailers make you think it's a laugh every minute. This movie is actually quite sad... you won't cry, but you will surely feel sad for the main characters by the end of the movie. Well acted for sure, and an interesting look at life from a man who lives in hotels and airports 300+ days per year. This man lives a nomadic, lonely existence, whose daily life is comprised of telling those who live very different(and normal) lives, that their lives are now being turned upside down, but "it will be allright". Yes, it all so sad. Liked the movie, but now need to find a happy pill.

My wife and I enjoyed watching this movie. I related to the travel aspect of the movie, but I was also pleased with the timeliness of focusing on the stress of layoffs. Neither overly dramatic nor funny. All around balanced with good acting.

As my husband and I are frequent flyers we really identified with this movie. I loved it because it was a real story with no explosions, violence or teenage actors. It had some funny moments but they weren't the silly slapstick that seems to qualify as comedy these days. It was a real story about real people and we both loved it. I think you have to have lived a little to appreciate it.

George Clooney does a wonderful job of portraying a man who fires people for corporations too afraid to fire them by themselves. His work keep him traveling via jet across the country. I LOVE George Clooney in almost everything he has ever done - Oh Brother Where Art Thou, all of the Ocean movies, and many others, as well as his role in ER on TV. BUT this one really disappointed me. I work for American Airlines, and we were told about AA being in the movie, so I was eager to see it. I thought the ending was awful. I sat in my seat expecting something more...awkward ending. Acting on George's part was flawless, but all in all, a disjointed, let-down of a movie.

This is a wonderful movie. First off, the writing is top notch. The performances are outstanding and the direction is very good. You are introduced into another life style and anyone who has done a lot of traveling for business (as I have), will identify with certain aspects of this story. Also, as a person that was "right sized" from his job of many years, I could also identify with the story. I don't know if I enjoyed this movie so much because of the experiences of my own life that I could identify with, but I choose to believe because it is so well done. While this isn't a movie that will loose a lot when it comes out on DVD, its a story you don't want to wait to see. See this movie, you will not be disappointed.

I really didn't want to go see this movie, but I did because I knew my wife would want to watch Mr. Clooney. It is not exactly a "feel good" movie, but I think it is very thought provoking. I was all set for a good George C movie on a cold miserable day and my expectations were met---except at the end of the story. The ending left me confused, unfufilled, and plain out mad!! I turned to my daughter and said "That's it???" If you want to be left "in the air" go see this movie and your wishes will be filled. Otherwise wait for George to do another movie that actually has an ending to it.

I guess I expected something different, somehow I thought this would be more of a comedy but instead found it a bit uncomfortable. There was light humor here and there but it's certainly not a comedy. I figured there would be a happy ending... but no, can't say that either. Still, it was informative and let me see a side of life I've never known. Glad to have my job now. :)

I wouldn't highly recommend this movie. George Clooney played himself, and if you're not a George Clooney fan, it can be tedious watching just him when it's just him onscreen. However, the supporting cast is excellent. That's was kept my interest, and kept me from walking out.

I had heard that his movie had a "great story" to it. And, it has won a few awards over the past couple of months, so naturally I wanted to see what the hype was about. I found myself wanting to get to the punch line, however. I wanted to complete the end so I would know the "great story." When I finally got the ending... I loved it. Clooney was great and Anna Kendrick was amazing. Loved the movie.

Found this movie to be different. Really liked the story and acting. To me what a sad life! Unexpected twist at the end. I would recommend seeing this one.
