As my husband and I are frequent flyers we really identified with this movie. I loved it because it was a real story with no explosions, violence or teenage actors. It had some funny moments but they weren't the silly slapstick that seems to qualify as comedy these days. It was a real story about real people and we both loved it. I think you have to have lived a little to appreciate it.
My husband and I are in the same age group as the characters in this movie and could easily identify with many things they went through. We laughed a lot and would easily see this again or even possibly buy it when it comes out on DVD. The acting is superb by both Alec Baldwin and Meryl Streep. Steve Martin is perfectly cast and does an excellent job as a nerdy architect. The children are perfect also. The script is done well and moves right along.
My husband saw this on our weekly "date" night and we both really loved it. There were several laugh-out-loud moments. The characters were very believable and the acting was good. I really can't think of anything not to like about this movie.
