Laughed in theater for 1st time in years

I can not tell you the last time I saw a movie that made me laugh out loud. This one did.
Good enough serious plot with a few surprises. Perfectly paced action and comedy throughout the entire movie. Ice Cube is hilarious, btw! You will want to watch the extra scenes during the credits for a few minutes of extra footage. (Nothing after the credits, though)
Either see it in the theater, or see it at home. Don't be the person who skips out on this one.
This movie is going to do very well!
I'm tempted to see it again.

Holds up well

With all of the emphasis on action and 3D movies these days, this movie is a nice break from the norm.
It is shot in black and white, which I am not sure I even noticed until the end. Very little dialog. The crowd seemed to be VERY drawn in to the story, maybe more-so because of the silent movie feel for some reason. Where other movies are of excess and are overdone, this movie swiftly executes and there is little, if any, wasted commotion.
Fantastic and well done. I wish more movies could be more original like this one.
See it if you can.

Great in 3D

This movie has a decent story that may be difficult for younger viewers to follow. However, there is plenty of action to make up for it.
Great characters. The only issue is there isn't really enough of a back-story about each race. You may find yourself wondering why certain characters are doing what they do.
All in all, though, a very good movie. Not great, but pretty good. Seems like the plot and characters could have been vastly elaborated on.

Glorified garbage

This movie is pure garbage, and it is a sad truth that the fact that it is garbage will make it a hit with the teenage audience. This movie makes me fear for the future of this country. I understand that all the teens out there like breasts, underage drinking, and use of ecstasy, a drug that literally creates physical holes in your brain, but I actually felt dumber for watching this dump of a movie.
No class, no plot, very little dialogue. This movie literally has 3 ten minute segments of nothing but people dancing.
At the end of the movie in an unrealistic note, the father almost congratulates the kid. Give me a break. My father would have stabbed me in the face if I threw a block party like that.
I can only imagine the amount of copycat parties this film will create, followed by injuries and deaths.
Please, please do not see this movie. It is everything that is wrong with people today.

Special effects demonstration

This would be great for kids under 10, or people who love 3D effects. Very farfetched plot and characters, so if you aren't into that then skip this.
If you DO see this, you better see it in 3D, otherwise it is a waste of visuals.

Call of Duty - The Movie

Great action paced perfectly throughout. There is much bloodshed, but that's what you expect in warfare. Many, many sweet head-shots. Also, great examples of military tactical coordination. Work as a team and execute your part.
Realism gets a credit, too. There is nothing that happens in this movie that doesn't happen in reality all over the world.

I thought it was great how it showed U.S. and allies sacrificing themselves to SAVE lives, and the terrorists sacrificing themselves to TAKE lives. Polar opposites.
Great movie and I stayed through all the credits out of respect for the men and women in the armed service.

Such a great film. I dont know why all the folks are hating on it. This is about survival, not pleasing the masses.

Power corrupts

Absolute power corrupts absolutely.
The young actor in this movie reminds me very much of a young Leonardo DiCaprio. He goes through some rough situations in his youth, and it bullies him into a corner until he can not control his own rage, then he becomes bigger than his problems.
Great story that plays out as true as if it were real.
We must control ourselves.

Awesome action

I am not a Tom Cruise fan, but I still though this was a pretty awesome movie. Plenty of nail biting action. I just wish I had seen it in 3D. Simon Pegg steals the show with his goofy personality, and adds some much needed tension release once in a while. Good movie overall.
I saw this at an AMC that claimed to be "IMAX", but it wasn't much different from a regular screen. Not worth the extra 5 dollars in my opinion.

If you liked Valentine's day, you will probably like this. The scenarios depicted are farfetched and imaginative, and the results of predicaments are not how things would turn out in reality... A good escape into a fantastical cheesy movie is just what the doctor ordered.
