The movie was better than the original...much better. The wolves were fantastic! Alot more plot and action than scenery. Can't wait for Eclipse which should be even more action and plot. Kristin and Taylor did an excellent job, very believeable. I wish Alice had more of a part.

i did not like this movie all my children do they are reading the books and love it. Give me a love story a tear jerker or a comedy. but i felt like i was watch a a game from zelda with the transforming and jumping and flying and being fast i did not enjoy this movie at all

New moon is the second installment and it is by far better than Twilight was. The graphics were incredible and it was as good if not better than the book. The director really captured all the characters perfectly.

I have read the entire series & waited for New Moon for months- It is Beautifully directed - & of course once again the Twilight Saga leaves us begging for the next!! Watched it 3 times & still want more!! Can NOT wait for Eclipse & Breaking Dawn!!! Kristen, Robert & Taylor leave you breathless & feeling every emotion they put up on that screen! LOVE IT!!!!!

The movie was positively awesome! The special effects for the werewolves was more impressive than anything that I imagined. For those of us who became hooked on the Twilight series books first, I have to say that the movie stays very much in line with the novel. Twi-hard fans are going to LOVE this one!

New Moon was as good as it could be. The 2nd book was very slow moving and boring similar to the movie. Over all everything was better than the first movie. the acting, effects, dialog. It is going into the right direction in being as good as the harry potters. Overall i think if you love the series go see see the movie.

It is truly sad that many young people of this generation don't remember "Casablanca" or "Gone With the Wind." Those films portrayed characters that sacrifice everything for love “in worlds in turmoil.” The two Twilight films are slow, pondering, and pandering. Point in fact: We see more mens' chests in these movies than an Abercrombie catalog so we know who is buying all of the tickets. New Moon is also a class movie. The Wolfmen clearly represent blue collar & minority hunks and the Vampires represent the snobby and indolent upper class.There is one bright point: I like the Doctor Vampire. He should have his own series, "Dr. Vampire!"

I have seen this movie twice. I think it is an excellent movie. If you really liked the book, then this movie is for you. If you New Moon wasn't your favorite book, because Edward wasn't in it a lot, then you may not like the movie. Overall the directors and writers did a good job getting in all of the important details. Sure, some things were left out, but can you really take 400 or 500 page book and make into a 2 hour movie and get every last detail in??? Think about that before you rate the movie low.

It's hard to fit 700+ pages into a 2 hour movie. I think they rushed thru a few topics but all in all the movie wasn't bad. Not enough Edward for those that are team Edward but if you read the book then you understand why. I was really impressed with Taylor's portrayal of Jacob. He filled out nicely between films. ;)~

I would recommend this movie to anyone who follows the books but, the book is 100% better than the movie. This movie didnt touch upon Bella's love for Jake as much as the book did and you really miss the connection to him in the movie(compared to the book) for someone who doenst read the books It didnt tell the story well enough in my opinion

Twilight series of books, phenomenal. Twilight series of movies, laughable. I understand the first was low budgeted. The second should have been greatly improved with the presence of funds and having heard reviews of the first. Special effects with the transformation of Jacob and his crew into werewolves was good. Heck, everything about Jacob was great. I think he made the movie. So, go in with the mindset that ultimately you're paying $9.00 for a two hour timeslot of Eye Candy Lautner.

I'm not your typical Twilight Fan. I am in my 40's but I really enjoyed the books. This movie was much better than the first. I feel that this director really put the book to life. It wasn't perfect but very well done. I hope the next two movies are just a good or better than this one.

My husband and I both enjoyed this movie; having read all four of the books, I was glad to see that the movie did a great job staying with the original story. My husband criticized that it was dark, a "depressing" story, but in a way that's true of the book! The casting remains excellent as far as Jacob and Edward, although we both found Bella excessively mumbly...not sure if that's an actress trait or what. The Volturi were also just as creepy as I imagined them! As a viewer, you do feel the conflict and agony of Bella's pull toward Jacob, in spite of knowing she belongs with Edward, just like in the book...that's got to be hard to convey on screen but it was there. This movie left me looking forward even more to the third one!

I have read all the books and thoroughly enjoyed the movie. I thought they did a great job getting all of the important details in there! My husband, however, was left a bit confused and wanting more out of the movie - but he hasn't read the books.

If you are a true fan of the Twilight book series then you will know what to expect of the movie. So to another Twilight fan I would say yes it is a good movie. Just going for the Edward factor, then no you will be disappointed. This is the movie that explains how the relationship between Jacob and Bella came about, so it is centered around them and Jacob's world. It has very little of the "Cullens" in it.

This movie was so well done. It stayed true to the book, thanks to the new director, and it was so smooth. All of the actors felt more at home in the characters and that came over while watching the film. It was awsome and a cliffhanger ending, for those who dont know the book, was just crazy good!

I thought this movie was done very well considering the time allotted to tell the story. Clearly, like every book to movie creation, many bits and pieces were left out. But lets face it, even the extended cut dvds for Lord of the Rings couldn't fit everything into those movies. This movie told the story clean and quick and was very entertaining. New Moon was my least favorite of the four books but I thought this was done much better than Twilight, and I really enjoyed that movie.

I totally fell in love with Robert Pattinson all over again! Rob and Kristen were amazing in this film, their on screen chemistry really leaves you breathless. I will definitely want to see it again. Taylor looks great but his acting was not as great.

As much as the movie was different from the book, I was still completely in love. Chris Weitz did an amazing job with everything and the cast was perfect.
I'm a huge fan of the books and I love when a movie portrays something EXACTLY how I saw it in my head while reading the book. Very few movies acheive that for me, but New Moon definitely did.
All in all, I give it 5 stars. I'm no professional movie reviewer, and I don't want to be. I loved the movie, I saw it twice over the weekend (the midnight showing, and again Saturday night), and I'm probably going to end up seeing it again in the theaters. Then quite a few more times once I get the DVD.

I loved this movie!!! I already want to go see it again. I loved Twilight but I feel that this one is a much better representation of the book and just as the book made me cry the movie did too. I do have to admit that the lighting was better on Twilight, I liked that it was darker, as New Moon is it makes it visible how much makeup the vampires are wearing. Still it was so good. The end is kind of bitter sweet because it ends so unexpectedly but then you know Eclipse is coming soon so I was still very excited. You all need to go watch it! Seriously!!!
