As much as the movie was different from the book, I was still completely in love. Chris Weitz did an amazing job with everything and the cast was perfect.
I'm a huge fan of the books and I love when a movie portrays something EXACTLY how I saw it in my head while reading the book. Very few movies acheive that for me, but New Moon definitely did.
All in all, I give it 5 stars. I'm no professional movie reviewer, and I don't want to be. I loved the movie, I saw it twice over the weekend (the midnight showing, and again Saturday night), and I'm probably going to end up seeing it again in the theaters. Then quite a few more times once I get the DVD.
Yes, I recommend this movie.
