Danny Boyle does it again. The man makes the most original and interesting movies. Slumdog Millionaire keeps his string of successes alive. A total pleasure. One of the most perfect and complete movies of the year! My only complaint - it ended too soon. Would have enjoyed watching the story enfold longer into the lives of our two young protagonists. The movie audience we communed with was enthralled and erupted in applause at the end. The ovation was as much for the quality storytelling of this movie as it was for the joy in watching two people find their way back to their most cherished possessions - each other.

I loved this movie! An Indian friend of mine did not like it as much but I thought it was great. The child actors did such a fabulous job of endearing the audience to these characters. The adult actors were great as well. The story is well written. I found the flashbacks to be a good way to tell the story--not confusing as others thought. It is a happy ending and we all love that.

With a subtext of Futureshock this story is human and exquisitely acted on all fronts. A superb job by the entire ensemble. The cinematography is first class. This movie was intense, physcially challenging to the body and soul, and a true delight. Perhaps one of the most original movies distributed in years. It just goes to show Hollywood and the world moviegoing community, that if you make a good movie, with solid acting and storytelling, big name stars simply don't enter into the equation. It is time to take notice of the craftspeople who create the movies and forget about the star system.

It's a blend of comedy, enduring love, brotherly love, fraud, and poverty. The beginning of the movie had me wondering why i was there. However, very quickly I was drawn into a drama that clearly demonstrates, amidst the sub-plots, that a person is the sum of his/her life experience.
